27. No mercy

Kirion did her job, while preparing the meals for the next day.

Nikaido was upstairs sleeping peacefully. No one noticed the scratches on the door and the sound of something whining. With the paws Kikurage has, it would take it years to make a hole into the door. But it won't give up, that cat creature wants to get in.

It was still there as a car drove passed it and then...stopped all of a sudden.

"See, I told you I saw some animal" Kikurage looked over, as a tall person in a blue outfit and mask came over, followed by a man with a heart mask. Noi wanted to take this animal off the door, but it wanted back to the hole it tries to make. Shin got curious, "Why does it want to get in there?"

"Perhaps it is hungry?" It is the obvious answer, since it is a restaurant.

Although it wasn't open, Shin knocked anyway. Kirion panicked at this, not prepared for customers. It says closed outside, but the two cleaners didn't pay any attention to the sign. Losing their patience, Noi literally kicked down the door, "Hello?" Shin followed his partner, while smelling the air, "Someone is here." Kirion didn't have enough time to get the meat from the pan, seeing it burn to a crisp. "Come out, we are hungry!" There was no use, appearing from her hiding spot, nodding at the two. They both took the seat at the counter, smiling happy. Noi started her order first, while Shin watched the cat thing trying to get out of his partner's arms.

"Noi let Kikurage go."

"Huh? But why? It only runs away again if I do."

Shin didn't like to repeat himself, as she released the animal. Kikurage didn't seem to be hungry at all; walking passed the food and straight upstairs. Kirion got worried, seeing the man with the heart mask stand up, "What is up there?" Kirion shrugged. Shin jumped over the counter, not caring for trespassing and followed Kikurage. Noi held Kirion downstairs, just to be sure that everything will go smoothly without killing anybody. For Shin a big surprise; seeing the sorcerer of time in bed, not expecting to see En's old partner in a place like this, he decided to take her with them. As Kirion heard him call his partner, she tried to prevent Noi to get to the bedchamber, turns out to be a big mistake. The tall woman grabbed Kirion's arm and slammed a knife into her palm, "Be lucky that we won't kill you." Soon after, she had to watch, as Nikaido was carried over Noi's shoulder and out the door. Kikurage got carried by Shin, as they all got into the car and back to the party. For the cleaners was this a successful day, not only could they eat high quality food today, but also another portion at the garden party later on.

I was far from having an appetite.

Every move I make, I had to be careful. My attention had to be everywhere; otherwise I would make a mistake. En watched from a far, while my hand held a silver plate of champagne. One devil thought it would b funny to turn the drink into acid. If any sorcerer would drink it, there wouldn't be around for long. Another changed a piece of cake, into one with worms and maggots. Running around to replace it was hilarious to all devils. Also trying to make me trip, was an amusing thing to so do to kill time. En wasn't aware that all his entertainment was not meant for the devils...I was the only entertainment they needed. One even thought, taking my mask off would be fun. It would be my death sentence if they succeeded. They knew my identity had to be hidden by the sorcerer in red, making it even more amusing to see me fail. Gura Gura took the time to be an annoying dog, barking at me to gain the attention of all the sorcerers. At first it was harmless, hearing the people say how cue it was that the dog cuddled up to my leg. I got worse as he began to ride it. The stares of the guests were priceless, especially for the devils. Chidaruma couldn't resist, "Gura Gura seems to be fond of you."

"You think?" I said, trying to push this devil dog off my leg.

"He even wants to keep you to himself" Now that I didn't understand. Not until I felt something wet against my feet, "Ewwwww, bad dog!" He had the nerve to actually pee on my leg. Chidaruma hadn't had enough yet, pointing at the others, "Oh look, he seems not be the only one." I swallowed hard, as a handful of devils turn to dogs, wiggling their tail with delight. I looked up the monster before me, "What did I ever do to you devils?"

"Nothing" He said, as his finger poked my mask, "We just do it out of fun."

"Wasn't this enough fun already?"

Chidaruma shook his head, "Oh no..." his arm grabbed my shoulders as he turned me around, "...we aren't finished yet." When I thought it couldn't get any worse, it did. En was on his way over, only to press his nose together, "What is this hideous smell?" The devil behind me chuckled, "It seems your little servant couldn't hold it any longer. " It was humiliating. In hoe that another servant got me inside the mansion to clean, oh no, En took me there in person. I could already see my life flash before my eyes, good bye world.

"Lord En, we have a problem!"

Hell yeah!

En didn't seem to be pleased with what the staff had to say, telling someone else to get me cleaned up. To my horror, he asked the devils. There cheeky grin was disturbing, like a bunch of Cheshire cats staring at me with joy.

I have a bad feeling about this, "Please...give me a break."
