"Father! Look! I hit it in the middle!!" Eui hugged her father in joy as it was her first time shooting with a bow, something her father loved and taught to his daughter. He smiled lifting her in his arms and touching their noses together as she giggled.

"Such a brave girl," He said caressing her long hair while she grinned.

...

"Daughter," Daehyung warned his daughter who was bathed in paint.

"Father come here, let me paint your face!" She wiggled her eight-year-old fingers at him with a wide innocent smile.

The workers around the mansion looked stunned as Daehyung made his way and sat in front of her. Her body was as tall as his upper half. She stood up to paint his face, giggling while drawing a moustache on him. Daehyung never showed an ounce of emotion to anyone but his face held nothing but warmth right now to his little gem.

...

"No, observe me," Daehyung said, moving slowly, teaching his two children Qi Gong, early in the morning under the sun.

"Ugh, so boring, I want to fight!" Eui said hopping on her spot like she's boxing.

"Father, can we please do something else?" Haein whined making his face cute as Daehyung shook his head chukling.

"You need to learn to balance your body to fight with strength," He said as the two kids looked at each other confused.

"Strength and balance are key elements to becoming strong, if you don't have one, the other fails to exist," He explains further and Eui scratches her head confused.

...

Eui opened her eyes slowly staring at the familiar ceiling

"Awake?" Daehyung asked sipping his coffee, sitting on the cushioned chair with a newspaper in his hand.

"Where are my brothers?-"

"They are safe, along with your mother and dad," He said staring at her. He hated how her first thought was about her family.

She groaned in pain making him hurry towards her after placing his coffee down. She held her hands up, telling him not to touch her. He stood straight before sitting beside her. She sighed feeling her stomach hurt a lot as she felt a bandage.

"Ms Lee changed your clothes to your favourite pyjamas," Daehyung said as she looked to the other side with a blank face. Ms Lee was her caretaker, she was a sweet woman who couldn't have children due to her health conditions after the birth of her son and Eui was like a kid to her and all the three grew close.

"I don't like pink anymore," Eui lied, it is still and has always been her favourite colour. Daehyung sighed.

"How long has it been?" Eui asked, staring away from her father.
