At 7:00 AM, Dionne explained her culinary passion while cooking by the counter. "You know, it's quite simple to make this. The Japanese omelet is one of my favorites. There are a lot of omelet styles, like French, American, soufflé, and frittata," she shared. The ingredients were neatly placed in a large bowl, and small bottles containing spices were scattered around for easy access. "You want more?" Dionne cheerfully offered Clarissa."I'm full, Dionne. I've eaten so much already. I didn't know there were so many types of omelets," the housekeeper replied, pleasantly surprised. Despite Clarissa's strict composure, Dionne easily made her laugh and feel comfortable. Clarissa allowed Dionne to cook and even treated her to a meal herself. "Yes, it's one of my favorite foods, which is why I love cooking it," Dionne said, handling a spatula and flipping an omelet. She was dressed in a green two-piece bikini covered by a grey silk robe, an attire that Clarissa had become used to seeing Dionne around the pool and occasionally passing through the kitchen for a drink.
After finishing her omelet, Clarissa stood up, placed her plate in the sink, and washed her hands. "Leave the dishes, Dionne. I'll take care of it. I'm heading to the garden to check the roses," she said, patting Dionne on the shoulder.
"Thanks. I'll make sure to tidy up!" Dionne replied with a smile, raising the spatula in farewell as Clarissa left.
Dionne then lowered the heat and set aside the spatula. She chopped scallions, mushrooms, and crab meat on the board. The morning sun's rays caressed her body, highlighting the vibrancy of her green bikini, as she didn't bother tying her grey robe. Her loose hair, covering half her face, shielded her from the direct sunlight streaming through the window.
A soft cough near the door caught Dionne's attention, prompting her to look up and smile. "Hey! Good morning!" She momentarily stopped chopping the vegetables.
Charlotte stood at the door, arms crossed, leaning against the door frame in full riding gear. Her hair was tied back. She wore a beige long-sleeve shirt, grey pants, long boots, black leather gloves, and a coat.
"Am I in the wrong kitchen?" Charlotte teased, noticing Dionne's state of dress.
"What do you mean?" Dionne asked, puzzled.
Charlotte approached, removed her gloves, and placed them on the kitchen island before sitting on a tall stool. "I'm just surprised to see you cooking in the kitchen, half-naked," she commented casually, avoiding Dionne's gaze and fidgeting with her gloves. Sitting across from Dionne didn't help, as it offered a close view of her physique, making the robe seem almost superfluous. The shapely collarbone and Dionne's figure were visible, balancing modesty and sexiness.
"Oh! Right..." Dionne chuckled softly and continued her cooking. "I'm planning to take a swim after this. I got hungry and came into the kitchen, craving something to eat. Figured if I'm going to eat half-naked, might as well cook half-naked too."
"You didn't ask Clarissa? You know you can always ask her if you need anything," Charlotte suggested.
"I..." Dionne glanced up briefly before returning to her cooking. "I kind of bribed her?" she chuckled sheepishly. "I cooked her a meal," she confessed without any reservation.
Charlotte ran her hand through her hair, looking at what Dionne was cooking. "I think she'd even allow you to roam around naked at this point."
Dionne laughed. "I think so, too." She finished cooking the omelet, sliding it onto a white plate and garnishing it with scallions. The delicious aroma of herbs and spices wafted through the air. "Would you like to try?" she offered, placing the plate in front of Charlotte with a fork on the side.
"What are you bribing me for?" Charlotte teased, her signature smirk deepening her dimples.
"No reason. Try it. You can spit it out if you don't like it," Dionne said, preparing another plate for herself and sprinkling scallions on top as usual.
