(Catnap's POV)
An hour after I had woken up, Dogday had came to my door inviting me to come over to his house, also stating that he invited someone else that I would never expect to come over.
After he had left I had made myself some tea, putting cinnamon in it and chugging it down, then quickly washing the cup and putting it back in the cub-bard I got it from.
I walked over to Dogday's house, knocking on the door a couple times, then being greeted by Dogday himself, his tail was wagging happily when he saw me, and as I walked in, he gently kissed me on the cheek, making me blush.
"That was for yesterday~" Dogday teased as he walked over to his couch and sat down, but he looked as if he was hiding something, as he quickly tried to hide something under the cushions of the couch.
I ignored it because there was nothing serious that he could be hiding from me, at least... I hope...
Suddenly, I heard a knock on the door, and Dogday quickly got excited.
"Oh! He's here already?" Dogday asked as they ran to the door and opened it, only to reveal...
"Neko? What's he doing here?" I asked as Neko walked into the house, and I could already tell something was off about him.
"Neko, you don't look so good, anything wrong?" I asked as Dogday also seemed a bit concerned.
"Nah, I was just... Sleeping before this funny guy came up to me and asked me to come to his house." Neko stated, pointing to Dogday.
"Oh, right! We never told you our names did we?" Dogday asked as Neko shook his head no.
"Well I'm Dogday, and this is Catnap!" Dogday said as he presented me, and I casually waved in the background.
"Hm, cool names! Also, thanks for inviting me here." Neko expressed.
"Oh, Catnap, you should have seen Neko when I found him, he looked super scary while sleeping!" Dogday said, exaggerating with big motions.
"What exactly happened?" I asked.
"Well, when I walked up to Neko, he was standing up with his arms crossed, but his eye sockets were empty! And all I heard was raspy breathing from what seemed to be inside him!" Dogday explained.
"Haha, yeah, see, I WOULD tell you why that happened, but then you would think I'm dangerous, and I don't want any more enemies." Neko said, smiling a bit.
"Oh, also, you guys aren't the first to hear this from me, but uh, apparently my brain isn't fully developed, due to reasons I won't explain, but all you two need to know is that I basically have the brain capacity of a toddler." Neko explained, which intrigued me and Dogday.
"...So your brain isn't fully developed, and that means you are forced to think like a toddler? That's a strange function." I expressed in confusion.
"Oooh... Now I wonder what types of effects this will have on you two..." Dogday mumbled to themselves as they reached into the cushions of their couch and pulled out...
Is that...?
"Is that catnip...?" I asked as Dogday nodded and showed both of us the bag.
"...Did you invite us both here because we're both cats?" Neko asked, yet strangely, his tail seemed to not drop in disapproval, he seemed to actually like this idea.
"I've never actually tried that stuff before, is it good, Catnap?" Neko asked me, as if I knew.
"I don't know, maybe Dogday knows." I responded as Dogday rubbed a bit of the catnip on his finger.
"Here, try this." Dogday offered as he let Neko try the catnip, to which it didn't look like it had any effect on him at first.
Then, Dogday held some catnip up to MY nose...
He expected me to take some? Who does he think I am? I would never-
"Come on, Catnap! It's no fun if only one of you takes it!" Dogday whined as his tail stopped wagging.
"Ugh... Fine... But it's only because you mean a lot to me..." I pouted as I took a small bit of catnip from Dogday.
But as soon as I did, it seemed that both me and Neko had the catnip kick in, and I started seeing weird colors...
And... I...
I...
Ugh... My head...
(Dogday's POV)
Catnap suddenly started to tremble, and started scratching random things with his claws, meanwhile, Neko was tossing off his beanie and jacket, scratching his head, looking around.
Catnap and Neko kept on looking at each other, gently patting each other on the head, occasionally hissing at one another, I don't know if this is regular cat talk, or whatever, but it was sure funny!
I went over and grabbed a ball of yarn that Catnap gave me one day, he said he didn't know why, but he felt the need to give it to me one day.
I showed both Neko and Catnap the ball as they stared intently at it, I couldn't help but giggle a bit.
"Haha...! Do the kitties want their ball?~" I teased as I tossed the ball at a nearby corner.
Both Neko and Catnap ran for it, trying to fight each other over it, but they sort of just kept tapping each other and gently biting each other.
I kept on getting the ball myself, then tossing it to random spots in the living room.
Soon after, Neko and Catnap kept hitting each other's tails, acting like they didn't even know what a tail was.
All I could do was stand in the middle of my living room and continuously laugh at Neko and Catnap's antics.
But eventually I threw the ball of yarn behind me, but Neko and Catnap tackled ME instead of going for the ball.
They kept on lightly tapping me and occasionally licking their own hands... Or paws, I suppose.
All I really did during this point was occasionally give both of them pets and scritches as they purred, it was funny, and pretty entertaining too!
Eventually, they both fell over onto the ground, waiting a moment before groaning and scratching their heads, intensely confused.
"Ugh... Why does my tail feel like it's been hit a couple times...?" Catnap asked.
"And why is my beanie and jacket on the floor...?" Neko asked as he put them both back on.
After a bit of re-capping we all got settled and started talking again.
"I can't believe I willingly let you give me pets in front of someone else..." Catnap complained, and all Neko did was chuckle a bit.
"Well, unless you guys don't mind me staying here, I'm gonna go head out, thanks for inviting me here!" Neko said, almost walking out the front door.
"Wait! It's supposed to rain soon!" I shouted, stopping Neko in his tracks.
"...It won't thunder will it...?" Neko asked, and he seemed kind of scared.
"Uhm... I think so, why?" I stated.
"Oh no... I don't like loud sounds... They scare me..." Neko said, looking really scared.
"Aw, don't worry, Catnap's here, he can make sure you're safe...!" I joked as Catnap scoffed, blushing a bit as Neko sat back down on the couch.
A couple hours later
I had been watching a movie with Neko and Catnap, but when I looked at both of them, they seemed to be sleeping, and of course, Neko was doing that creepy thing where his eyes were gone, and there was raspy breathing coming from him.
But I just decided that maybe I should sleep too, the thunder would keep me up if I didn't go to sleep soon anyways.
And with that, I closed my eyes, and started to quickly fall asleep, knowing two of my friends were there to keep me company.
