The Day After ♥️

(Dogday's POV)

I had woken up in my bed, curled up in blankets as Catnap held onto me, keeping me wrapped up in his arms as he purred softly.

I giggled a bit out of spite, accidentally waking up Catnap as his purple fur brushed against mine, his tail wrapping around my own as he smiled softly.

"You're so cute when you purr like that, Catnap." I mumbled as Catnap giggled a bit, hugging me closer as he nuzzled his head against the crook of my neck.

"Alright, we can't just lay here all day... C'mon, get up." I said softly as Catnap groaned, yet still sat up and got out of bed, rubbing his eyes.

"Good kitty." I muttered playfully as Catnap sighed before walking downstairs, I soon followed him after making sure my fur wasn't puffed up.

Both me and Catnap wondered what we should eat for breakfast, mainly because cereal didn't sound that good at the moment, and bacon and eggs were getting sort of dull...

"Hey, I know! What if we go ask Neko if we can try some Japanese food? I bet there's a lot of stuff that Japanese people eat, especially for breakfast!" I asked excitedly.

Catnap paused for a moment before nodding in response, I didn't really think he had any other option anyways, so it was practically a win-win for me.

Me and him both made our way out of the front door as we steadily jogged towards Neko's house.

Both of us stood at the front door, waiting for one of us to knock, yet nothing happened.

"Y- You gonna knock?" I asked slowly.

"No? This was your idea, you should knock...!" Catnap insisted as I sighed before hesitantly knocking on the door, hearing footsteps from the inside.

The door opened as Neko appeared in the door frame, looking like he was quivering a bit, but as soon as he saw us, he opened the door fully, yet his legs were shaking a bit.

"Uh, hey, Neko! How have you been?" I asked as Neko responded almost immediately.

"Good." He said quickly, legs still trembling a bit.

"Uhm... Are you feeling okay? Your legs are shaking." I asked as Neko blushed a bit before straightening his legs to make them stop shaking.

"Y- Yeah... It's just... Cold... Yep..." Neko responded slowly as he continued blushing.

"...What did Maxwell do to you...?" Catnap asked as he crossed his arms, looking past Neko to see Maxwell lying down, his arm covering his face.

"...N- Nothin'... He was just a little rough... We were uh... Wrestling... Playfully..." Neko stated as Catnap nodded slowly, I could tell he didn't believe that a single bit.

"Alright, well... We came here to ask if you have any suggestions for Japanese breakfasts... Do you have anything?" I asked as Neko paused before nodding.

"Yeah, sure... I can make some Tamagoyaki." Neko mumbled as he snapped his fingers, summoning some type of food in front of both me and Catnap.

"Woah, what is this?" I asked as me and Catnap grabbed the mysterious food.

"It's basically a rolled omelette... Just Japanese themed..." Neko mumbled as Catnap almost immediately took a bite out of it.

"Hm... It's actually not that bad, thanks, Neko!" Catnap muttered as Neko nodded his head in response.

"Alright... Bye!" Neko muttered as he quickly shut the door, I looked at Catnap as he shrugged his shoulders, so did I.

We both made our way back home and ate, and Catnap was right, this was pretty good! Maybe I was wrong about it Japanese food being complicated...

It's not that bad, honestly...

Although... One thing is still burned in my mind...

How was Neko's legs shaking, if they were both wrestling...? Unless they were...

...
