(Dogday's POV)
I slowly opened my eyes to a bit of sunlight entering the room, I looked out the window and noticed it was raining outside, not too lightly, but not too hard either.
I looked to my right but noticed Neko was... Gone... Again... How weird, how does he always disappear like that?
Other than that, I looked to my left and saw Catnap, still sleeping, resting his head on his arm as he was purring softly, probably sleeping to the sound of the rain outside.
I gently shook Catnap's leg, attempting to wake him up, but he just kept on whining and groaning as he tossed and turned.
"Cmoooon Catnap...! I'm not gonna let you laze around forever! Get up...!" I pouted, shaking Catnap some more as I rustled his fur around, him continuing to whine.
"Noooo... I'm not getting up..." Catnap whined, his voice muffled from his hand covering his mouth, to be honest, he didn't actually look that comfortable.
I suddenly got an idea, and it was odd, but it might just work... It might get him riled up enough to start the day off...
"Catnap, if you get up, I'll give you some pets and scritches...! I said slowly, and to my surprise, Catnap sat up almost immediately.
"...You mean that?" Catnap asked, his tail brushing against the couch happily.
"Yep! And now that your up...-" I tried speaking, but I was hugged by Catnap and forced to fall back down on the couch, Catnap purring with delight.
"Oh! Alrighty then... Immediately getting into the action I see...~" I mumbled, sort of surprised that Catnap was THIS excited... And he just woke up...!
"...Pets please..." Catnap mumbled, making me chuckle a bit.
"Alright, alright..." I said softly, beginning to gently pet Catnap's head, scratching underneath his chin, around his ears, all the while he was purring softly.
I continued petting Catnap on the head, gently rubbing his back as he continued hugging me, purring softly as I felt the vibrations through his body.
I continued petting him, but his head raised and his ears pointed upwards, and it seemed like he heard, or felt something.
"Something wrong?" I asked as I continued petting him.
"Yeah, it's just... Feels like there's some type of really strong energy coming from somewhere." Catnap said, as I too began to notice that something was odd.
I looked out the nearby window, only to discover that... Neko was outside, he seemed to be glowing, or something, all I know is he had an aura around him, and he was dancing.
(Just imagine Neko doing the Hakari dance or something)
Wonder what was going on with him, he looked happy though, so that's all I cared about.
Neko wandered off to somewhere else outside, and all I did was giggle a bit, then I realized that Catnap probably didn't see what just happened.
"What? What's so funny?" Catnap asked as I continued petting him.
"Nothing too important, I just saw Neko outside dancing, I dunno what he was dancing for, but it was funny!" I explained as Catnap also slightly chuckled.
For the next couple of minutes, Catnap and I continuously talked back and forth about stuff as I continued petting him, this was one of the only times I saw him smile because of me!
His smile was nice, it was slim and small, but I knew that he was enjoying this time with me, and I was enjoying it too.
I'm glad that this is the way I started the day off, being able to pet Catnap for as long as I wanted... This was nice...
This was really nice.
