(Kicken's POV)
Me and a bunch of the other Critters had decided to have a sleepover at my house, we planned on staying there for the whole day, AND night.
We also decided to invite Neko and Maxwell, mainly because... We'll, why not? They're cool.
Everyone had showed up, but only 3 people had decided not to show up, those were Dogday, Catnap... Lovebirds... And Maxwell.
Although Neko showed up, so I kinda got concerned, mainly because Maxwell wasn't here to uh... Calm the guy down if he got excited.
But almost immediately, everyone began settling in, and Neko seemed to be calm and collected, just sitting on the couch in the living room as everyone got their own stuff settled.
"Hey, Kicken, come over here for a sec." Neko asked as I hesitantly approached him.
"I noticed you never ate dinner today, why is that?" Neko asked, immediately putting me on edge.
"...How do you know about that?" I asked slowly as Neko shook his head before ignoring my question entirely.
"Why haven't you eaten today?" Neko asked as I sort of just shrugged my shoulders, as not even I knew to be fair.
"...Do you want me to make you something? I've got rice and pickles." Neko offered.
"Eh, no thanks, I was planning on eating... Uh..." I trailed off, not knowing what to say.
"I was planning on eating... Pizza R-" I tried making a random excuse, but Neko stopped me.
"You were planning on eating pizza rolls?" Neko asked, guessing what I was going to say.
"...U- Uhm..." I stuttered, actually shocked that Neko predicted what I was going to say.
"If you didn't want to eat my food, you could have just said that." Neko muttered as he went back to staring blankly at the wall in front of him.
"N- No, Neko... It's actually just because I... Kind of what you to try some food that I've eaten." I answered back as Neko looked at me with a concerned expression.
"...If that's what makes you happy..." Neko mumbled as he sighed afterwards.
"Alright, show me what you've got." Neko said as I almost immediately dashed into the kitchen to look for something to eat.
I had quickly grabbed a random jar of candy that I saved in case of any type of sugar rush I had that needed to be taken care of.
"Here, try this." I said as I handed Neko a piece of chocolate, to which he grabbed it, looked at me for a second, then shrugged as he tossed it into his mouth.
"Oh yeah, don't be surprised if I..." Neko tried speaking, but he suddenly held his chest like he had a type of heartburn or something.
He gagged a bit, lightly burping as he fell to his knees, gasping for air as he looked terrified all of a sudden.
"N- Neko...?! What's going on?!" I asked frantically as Neko placed his hand on the floor and created a hole that looked like it lead into a void of some kind.
Neko unexpectedly threw up almost immediately, suffering periodically for about 12 seconds before closing the portal, and collapsing onto the floor.
I panicked and picked Neko up as I laid him back down on the couch, making sure he didn't have any type of fever.
"Neko! Are you alright?! Say something!" I begged frantically as Neko looked at me slowly before wiping his mouth.
"That... That's why I don't eat human foods..." Neko gasped as his voice sounded raspy and low.
"I think I might go home now... I'm not feeling well..." Neko stated as he slowly stood up, making me back up slowly.
I thought of basically everything Neko could do to me in this very moment, he could kill me for all I knew...!
But he instead just turned and walked out of the front door to my house silently as he walked back home, holding his stomach the entire way there.
Oh man...
I actually feel really bad for doing that...
I'm sorry, Neko...
