(Catnap's POV)

It had been a couple hours after that Maxwell guy had ran away, Neko ran after him, and quickly caught up with him as he dragged him back to us.

We got to know the guy a little more, and as it turns out, he's completely different than the Neko that we know, he's a lot more... Psychotic and prone to violence, meanwhile Neko can actually compose himself.

After we got to know what abilities he possessed, and what he could actually do, we decided that he would actually be a pretty big benefit to the Critters.

He could serve as a distraction to Neko, and maybe even take care of him! That would already be a lot to get off our chest.

"So you're basically Neko, but stronger?" Kicken asked as Maxwell shook his head, looking discouraged.

"No... He's basically ME, but weaker, I assume he's told you that he's a copy of me?" Maxwell asked, to which I responded to.

"I think he mentioned something about that, yeah." I answered, to which Maxwell nodded in response to.

"Nah, he's joking, he knows I'm better than him." Neko joked as Maxwell looked at him, dissatisfied.

"Don't make me do something to you." Maxwell said, to which Neko again responded sarcastically.

"Like what, hm?~ You gonna kiss me to death or something?" Neko teased as Maxwell said... With a straight face...

"Probably." He said, not breaking eye contact as he stared Neko down.

"...D- Do it then...!" Neko said, to which Maxwell literally leaned in and pecked him on the cheek, making Neko blush profusely, covering his face with his beanie as Maxwell chuckled a bit.

Everyone started "Ooo"'ing like complete children, making Neko blush more as he wrapped his tail around his legs.

"Haven't you learned not to test me?~ I've done a lot worse than that to you, don't forget about your neck." Maxwell teased as he patted Neko on the back, making him whine a bit.

"S- Shut up... Nobody needs to know about that..." Neko begged as Maxwell laughed a bit.

"Oh man, guys, wait till' you hear about this...!~" Maxwell started, Neko putting his beanie back on his head soon after Maxwell started his sentence.

"NO, SHUT UP!!" Neko yelled as he childishly tackled Maxwell to the ground as Max laughed to himself, Neko trying to bite him, but it didn't seem like it was doing anything.

"Neko, your teeth are fragile! You can't do anything except gently nibble me at this point!" Maxwell laughed as Neko and him continued wrestling each other.

I overheard Kicken and some others talking about how they acted like siblings, and some were saying that they looked cute together.

"Hey, Catnap." Dogday whispered to me as I looked at him, he was sort of holding back laughter, and smiling a bit.

"You think they would make a good couple...?~" Dogday asked jokingly, holding back his laughter as I also snickered a bit.

They both eventually calmed down, Maxwell finally started to loosen up to Neko, giving him a few pets, the first few Neko tried retaliating against.

Neko swatted at Maxwell's hand as he continued petting Neko, all the while still talking to us as we all joked about stuff.

Maxwell seemed to be a nice guy once you got to know him, although, a couple of hours ago, he seemed to hate Neko due to being stalked by him constantly...

But now he treats him like everyone else, maybe even a bit better than everyone else...! Constantly holding him by his side, and making sure he doesn't scurry off...

Maybe Dogday was actually kind of right about them being good together... I mean, I could see it happening...

But that's just a thought, there's no way something like that would happen.
