Check Up

(Dogday's POV)

There I was, relaxing on the couch in my house, peacefully drawing a picture of my house, it looked really good, and I was super proud of myself.

All of a sudden I heard a knock on my door, and I had a feeling it was a good friend of mine, Catnap.

I got up and walked to the front door, my tail wagging happily as I opened the door to see Catnap.

"Hi Catnap! What brings you here?" I asked excitedly.

Catnap waited for a second before speaking, something he usually did whenever speaking with anyone.

"Nothing big, I just wanted to check up on you, you never came outside today, so I got kind of concerned." Catnap said, which made me very grateful.

"Aw, thanks Catnap! I'm fine though, trust me." I replied.

"I made a drawing! Do you wanna see it?" I asked excitedly.

"Sure thing." Catnap replied as I happily led him inside, closing the door behind us, then running over to the couch to grab the painting.

I grabbed the painting and almost tripped from running so much, but Catnap caught me.

"Haha, don't slip, Dogday!" Catnap laughed as he helped me up and brushed me off, giving me a few scritches.

"A- Anyways... Here it is...! Hope you like it!" I said as I showed Catnap the painting of my house.

"That looks... Amazing! You never told me you were an artist, Dogday!" Catnap praised me as I blushed from his compliment.

"Oh, stop... It's not THAT good..." I said, embarrassed.

"Aw, can't take a couple compliments I see..." Catnap teased me as I chuckled and walked over to my kitchen.

"N- No, I just... I..." I stammered, still embarrassed.

"Loosen up, Dogday, I'm only kidding!~" Catnap replied playfully.

"Alright, alright... Say, wanna go play outside? There's still a little bit of daylight left! It's only 7 PM!" I said excitedly as Catnap just nodded in response, and we quickly bolted out the door.

We ran outside and quickly started to chase one another, laughing and playing tag as the sun quickly started to set.

"Come on, Catnap! You're supposed to be fast!" I mocked.

"Relax, I'm only going easy on you Dogday, you know I'm faster than you." Catnap replied.

"Wha- Nuh uh! I'm totally faster than you!" I pouted.

"Dogday we both know I'm faster than you, come on now." Catnap said.

But before I could do, or say anything else, something began to feel off, like some... Weird energy was approaching.

Catnap noticed it too, he began backing away from the source, which seemed like it was right in front of us.

Out of nowhere, a portal appeared in front of us, it was something we had never seen before!

"C- Catnap! What the heck is that!?" I asked in confusion.

"I- I don't know, get away from it!" Catnap responded.

But soon after he said that, something came flying out of the portal, it seemed to be a person, but not like us, it was... A PERSON person...!

"Ow... Oh man, I gotta stop doing that..." The mysterious figure groaned.

They lifted their head to look at us, and I could see them clearly now.

They were wearing a grey beanie, some type of blue coat, and gloves...

But strangely enough they had...

A tail...?
