Sam sat in Lena's office waiting impatiently for her to arrive. Not because anything was wrong mind you, just because she wanted to know how last night went. It would be lying to say it didn't eat away at her all night, and no matter how much she tried to distract herself while playing board games with Alex and Ruby it was no use. As soon as the door swung open and Lena stepped through Sam began questioning her. "Woah! Slow down Sam! I'll answer all your questions just relax ok!" Lena exclaimed. "Ok...ok...I'm relaxed...really really relaxed!" Sam replied as she joined Lena on the sofa.

"Ok! So after you got to Alex's last night I headed straight home to find Kara standing in the lobby holding an over night bag. Since I didn't want her flying home after drinking and all that. We ate Indian food and watched several rom coms before I began to doze off on her shoulder while we were wrapped up under a blanket on the sofa. She carried me to the bedroom and mush have undressed me because I woke up in pajamas and I was laying on her chest. I was practically glued to her body Sam! It felt so nice! I could definitely get used to waking up to her every morning! Sam you don't understand! She made me breakfast while I showered! But the best part of it was how she looked at me when I walked out in a towel! God! She looked like she was in shock! It was well worth it!"

"Then when she came out of the shower in a towel I was in just my underwear! She panicked and said she'd use her super speed to get ready. I felt kind of ashamed and embarrassed but she put on a dress and her hair in bun with her necklace she wears all the time. But Sam! All I wanted to do on the way up the elevator yesterday and on the way down this morning I just wanted to ruin her lipstick with a heated kiss! Gah! I'm picking her up tomorrow night at seven! Should I bring flowers? Or would that be to obvious?" Lena asked taking a long drink of her coffee. Sam couldn't help but smile at her best friend. "Now flowers wouldn't be too obvious, especially for Kara! She'll think it's sweet and not think about it. Now are you still gonna confess your feelings to her tomorrow night?" Sam asked.

Lena took a heartbeat to think of an answer. "Yes! I plan on taking her off to the roof maybe and watch the fireworks that are set to go off at the party. Then I thought I'd just make my move." Lena stated. "Which is?" Sam pressed. "I think I'll wait for the right moment to kiss her and put all of my feelings into the kiss." Lena replied with a smile. "Well as your best friend I'm gonna say good luck!" Sam replied. "That's all? Good luck? Nothing more? Sam! I'm freaking out over here! Although I learned shes not dating Lucy, so that gives me a chance to make my move. But since I invited Lucy to the gala how am I gonna keep her away from Kara?" Lena asked. "Let me and Alex deal with that. I know someone....well Alex does, she's from that other Earth where Barry lives. Her names Sarah and she'll be there tonight too. So I can sick her onto Lucy Lane." Sam replied with a smirk. "And this is why you're my best friend! Thank you Sam! Now get to work! Kara's coming over for lunch so make yourself scarce around that time." Lena stated as Sam gathered her things and headed out the door. "Bye!" Sam called as she headed to the elevator.
