A few minutes later Kara made her way out the kitchen to see Lena dancing around in her kitchen. The sight caused Kara to hold her breath. 'Yep! I can get used to this!' Kara thought to herself with a smile. Feeling eyes on her Lena stopped dancing and turned to see Kara smiling at her. "You startled me!" Lena exclaimed with a smile. "It smells good Lee! Thank you for this." Kara replied as she took a seat at the table. "So? Do you want me to fly you home later?" Kara asked as Lena sat down beside her. "Uh..yea..after a shower and can I borrow some of your clothes?" Lena asks hesitantly. "Of course Lee! You don't even need to ask! Take whatever you want...it's not like I don't know where you live to come get them.." Kara added with a smile.
They ate in a comfortable silence before Lena excused herself to go shower while Kara used her super speed to do the dishes. A few minutes later Lena emerged from the bedroom wearing one of Kara's 'supergirl' Tshirt's and a pair of shorts. Kara's breath hitched in her throat as her best friend comes out. "Thanks for letting me borrow this stuff. I'll return it after the gala tonight." Lena stated. "Oh...no problem Lee. Are you ready to go back now? Or would you wanna hang out for a bit?" Kara asked.
Lena bit her lip as she eyed Kara. She noticed her breathing had quickened as soon as sh e came out of the bedroom. That alone made her smirk to herself. "Uh...yea you can fly me home now if you want...would it be ok if I came back over in a little while though? Maybe we could get ready for the Gala together?" Lena waits on a response with bated breath. Kara stares at her in response to the question that lingers. "Yea! We can do that Lee! We can do our hair and makeup but I'll get dressed alone, since it is still a surprise and all." Kara replied. "Of course! So are you ready?" Lena asks looking at the blonde.
They head out to the large window in the bedroom and Kara opens it wide so she can step onto the small balcony. After picking Lena up bridal style she looks at her to gage her facial features. "You already?" Kara whispers. "Yes! I trust you completely." Lena replies with a smile as they take off into the sky.
