By nine AM that next morning news facilities everywhere know of the engagement between the two CEO's. The morning sun shown through the penthouse window and onto the two sleeping women. Kara was the first one to open her eyes and take in the sunlight that bounced off her fiancé's dark hair. "Sooo beautiful..." Kara whispered as she ran a hand through Lena's hair. "Hmmm?" Lena hummed as she slowly opened her green eyes. "Good morning beautiful." Kara whispers. "Good morning fiancé.." Lena whispers. "Fiancé...I do love that word...but I love you saying it." Kara replied as she leaned in and kissed her.

They laid there for a few minutes more before getting up and starting breakfast. "I'm gonna click on the news...see if there's anything I missed supergirl wise." Kara says as she heads to the living room. Lena nods and begins making them some food. "OH MY GOD!" Kara yelps as she turns on the television. There on the screen are photos and videos of herself and Lena from the gala. Some of the pictures and videos have images of the engagement ring on Kara's finger. "What is it darling....ohh! Oh my god! Well cats out of the bag now..." Lena stated as she wrapped her arm around Kara's waist. "Yea..works gonna be hell tomorrow morning...you know that right?" Kara asked. "Oh I know..." Lena replied.

After breakfast Kara takes a shower while Lena puts the dishes in the dishwasher. Once Lena's in the shower Kara calls Alex to have her bring the jewelry boxes Kara had stashed at her apartment. After they hang up Lena's out of the shower and dressed in a pair of linen shorts and a loose fitting tshirt with her hair in a pony tail and bare feet. "What was that about?" Lena asked. "Just called Alex to have her bring something I've stayed at her place." Kara replied. "What things darling?" Lena asked. "You'll see Lee soon enough." Kara replied as they sat on the sofa.

A few minutes later Alex arrives with said boxes. "Thanks Alex.." Kara said as she stood in the hallway with the door shut. "Welcome..I gotta head out though...good luck..." Alex replied. Kara walked back inside and rejoined Lena on the sofa. "Did she bring them? Can I see?" Lena asked. Kara nodded. "I don't have a fancy speech prepared since I only got these things a couple days ago from Eliza...I was planning on doing it next week but...you actually beat me to it...this ring and bracelet belonged to my birth mom Alura...she sent them with me when I was sent to Earth...so...will accept it?" Kara asked as she looked up into the green eyes of Lena. "Kara...of course I will...this..this so beautiful!" Lena replied with a smile.

Kara removed the ring and put it on Lena's finger. "What is the bracelet for?" Lena asked. "It's a Kryptonian wedding bracelet. The ring was given to my mom when I was born from the matrix." Kara replied with a smile. "This....is so beautiful...I love it...I love you." Lena replied as she kissed the blondes lips.
