"Lee? What are you doing home early darling?" Kara asked. "Meeting got canceled due to a connection problem, so I left early to come home to my beautiful girlfriend!" Lena replied as she pulled Kara in for a kiss. "Mmmm I love when you come home early." Kara hummed. They stayed there holding one another for a few more minutes before separating so Lena could put her stuff down. Kara went and sat on the sofa while Lena got into some comfortable clothes. "Remember we have plans tonight." Lena added as she sat down on the sofa. "I remember. Dinner tonight." Kara replied as she leaned on Lenas' shoulder.

They began watching a show when there was a ding from the elevator alerting them to someone coming to their place. "Who's that?" Kara asked as she went to see who was coming up. Suddenly the blonde heard a familiar heartbeat heading their way. "Eliza! You're here early! Why are you here early?" Kara asked as she pulled her into hug. "Does a mother need a reason to come see her daughter? Even if it's a day early for an event?" Eliza asked. "No..I guess not...where are your bags?" Kara asked curiously.

"I got a hotel, I didn't want to impose on my daughters and their partners. By the way...where is your better half?" Eliza asked. "Lee's in the living room. Come on in...we're just watching a show." Kara replied. Eliza followed Kara to the living room and joined them on the sofa. "Hello Lena! How are you doing?" Eliza asked as she pulled her into a hug. "I'm good how are you?" Lena asked. "I'm good, so tell me...what all should I expect from this gala?" Elia asked. "Oh, not too much, they'll be food, and speeches and dancing...and booze and rich people making hefty donations to reason charities. It'll be very boring." Lena replied with a half smile.
