It was just before noon when Kara stepped off the elevator and began walking to Lena's office. "Hello Jess! Are you excited for the Gala tomorrow night?" Kara asked. "Hello Kara! Yes I am! I'm looking forward to it! Are you?" Jess asked. "Yes I am! I'll see you there Jess!" Kara stated as Lena popped her head out of her office ushering Kara inside. "Hey Lee!" Kara exclaimed as she hugged the CEO. "Hey! Are you hungry? Ah who am I kidding you're always hungry! Which is good because I have ordered a lot of food!" Lena stated.

"Sounds good! What all did you order Lee?" Kara asked. "Just all your favorites! Come on, let's sit and talk while we wait for everything to arrive." Lena suggested as they sat on the sofa together. "How's work going?" Kara asked. "Oh, well it's going well considering I haven't done much of anything today, because tomorrow's the Gala." Lena stated. "Oh? Well thats good. You probably could use a break now and then." Kara replied with a smile.

'That smile! That damn smile! She can make me forget everything with that smile!' Lena thought to herself. "So? Are you working a full day?" Lena asked. "Oh no, apparently my boss has given me the ability to take off after lunch. Wonder how that worked?" Kara asked smiling at Lena who merely shrugged and rolled her eyes. "I figured it would give us time to hang out gain if you wanted?" Lena asked nervously. "You gave me the rest of the day off so we could hang out? Lena! Really? You never need a reason to hang out with me!" Kara replied as she hugged the dark haired woman.

The smell of coconut shampoo filled the blonde's nostrils instantly making her heart race. Being so close to the one woman she has loved ever since she met her was pure torture. 'What if she doesn't love me back?' Kara asked herself with a sigh as they pulled apart. The knock on the door told them their food was here. "Thanks Jess! Take the rest of the day off while you're at it! Go get yourself a gown for tomorrow night." Lena stated. "Are you sure?" Jess asked. "Of course! Go on! Kara and I'll be leaving after lunch." Lena added. "Thank you Miss Luthor! Have a good rest of your day!" Jess exclaimed as she packed her stuff up and headed off to the elevator.

Lena then shut the door and quickly returned to Kara and began eating the food. "You're so nice! Letting Jess have the rest of the day off! That's really sweet Lee!" Kara exclaimed. "I have my moments and besides this will give her time to get a gown so she and Winn can go to the gala together." "Wait! Jess is Winn's mystery girlfriend! It all makes sense now!" Kara stated as they continued to eat their food.

A little while later both women were full and decided they'd take the rest back to Kara's. The ride to Kara's apartment was short but that didn't mean they didn't find anything it boring. Both women were talking enthusiastically about tomorrow night. "Coming up Lee?" Kara asked as the suv stopped in front of her building. "Sure!" Lena replied with a smile as she waved off her driver and followed Kara up to her apartment.
