54 - Lost Control

The only thing I could see was Moon's red glowing eyes as I tried to adjust to the darkness. Sun seemed panicked when I turned them off.

He just didn't get how far Moon has come.

Or maybe he knew more than me.

I took a step towards the bed but stopped when I could see Moon's figure raise up. "Hey Moony, are you oka—?"

He grabbed onto my shoulders suddenly and it jarred me. "...I told you... not to TELL SUN."

   I jumped back in a startled movement as his eyes flickered purple. What happened? We were doing so well, why is he so out of control?

   Moon reached for me and managed to snag my jacket, pulling me back and digging his claws in my arms. "Moony!"

   His eyes went completely purple, "DON'T CALL ME THAT."

   I tried to get out of his grip but he held me tighter, his claws were hurting. He was completely out of control.

   Then I saw it. There was a pleading look on his face for just a split second, asking me for help.

   When Moon started to loosen his grip, I kicked his leg and set him off balance enough to get out and start running. I knew I wouldn't make it if I tried to leave through the back way so I ran to the only exit I could.

Moon tried to swipe and grab me but I was just slightly out of his reach and his claws ripped through my jacket, shirt, and the first layer of skin.

Blood trickled down my arm but that didn't stop me as I ran.

I jumped onto the railing and leaped off.

The last time I did something as stupid as this, Sun caught me. This time, Sunny isn't here.

I weirdly missed the weightless feeling of falling through the air. It was so nice that if I had more time, I may have fallen asleep in the air.

And then I landed in the ball pit. I stood up shakily. My legs hurt a bit and my forearm stung from the cut but other than that, I was fine.

Then I took off again, running into the massive jungle gym. It weirdly felt familiar.
