"The virus is still here?!" Sun shouted with almost a tone of horror. "We should've canceled nap times!"
I nodded and tried to get Sun to calm down, "Hey, Sunny, just listen..."
He looked scared and I knew what he was thinking. Sun was thinking that they were going to be decommissioned.
"The device I made compressed the virus but didn't destroy it. In fact, we've found a file in your systems. It was labeled as Unknown.exe and apparently it was a fail safe in case of extreme emergencies."
I couldn't help but hate the increasing nervous look on Sun's face.
"It was a separate AI in whole. But it was overly violent and scrapped. But me and Moony think that when trying to remove the AI, it failed and became a virus which corrupted Moon's AI causing the violent tendencies."
I grabbed Sun's hands, "But we've been working together to help him. We don't think we can remove the virus but he might be able to control it! We've had tons of sessions and conversations, helping him get used to not lashing out and staying calm!"
Sun whispered softly, "Why did you keep this from me...? For so long...?"
He reached out and touched the top of my head and I could really see how this whole thing was effecting him. I could understand.
When he didn't get an immediate answer, he huffed, "You seriously should have told me sooner, Sunshine! Just think what he could've done to one of the ki—"
Before I could even say anything, Sun grabbed his rays like his head hurt and called out, "Moon!"
It was obvious that Moon wasn't doing well right now and I needed to do something. I ran towards the lights.
"NO! SUNSHINE, DON'T—"
It was too late. The lights were off. I could see Moon's glowing red eyes in the darkness.
To be continued in Chapter 54
