3rd books always seem to suck, because they're the last ones if it's a trilogy.

Last book= surprise deaths

Surprise deaths= many deaths

Many deaths= we are crying

Seriously, what did we ever do to deserve our characters dramatic deaths? And why so many? And why our favorites?!

Take this into consideration.

Allegiant= third book

Last book= surprise death

Surprise deaths= many deaths

Many deaths= we are crying

I've summed up Allegiant with some words and equal signs!

Surprise deaths were our two favorite characters

How many people died in the Divergent trilogy? Hmm let's count . . .
1, 2, 3, Tobias, 5 . . . 5,000,000,001, 5,000,000,002 . . .

The majority of those, I think, were Allegiant fatalities (that or Insurgent)

Allegiant depressed me. The end, it was beautiful. After over a year I've accepted that it was a beautiful end, a horrible one also, but beautiful. It still makes me sob and I still cannot touch Allegiant without recoiling (just me?) but it was so beautifully sad the fact that she knew she was selfless and brave in the end.

Uriah's coma was pointless as well. Why was there an explosion, why? Why when Uriah was standing right there?! Veronica Roth could've easily written: Uriah coughs and his eyes flutter open. I feel hope and happiness inside of me, and know, Uriah is back. That would've mended many hearts, but nooooo. Again, going back to Tris.

She left Tobias, she left him alone. Sure Tobias is single which is a plus, but he's devastated. Tris, his only love, gone. Forever. The one who taught him selflessness and bravery left him.
I'll see you soon. He says.
Oh, Tobias, if only you knew.

(Yeah no, I can't do this without crying I have to move on!)

Next (I typed Newt at first!!!! Lmao!) Okay whatever, Newt (yes, I'm letting Newt have his way . . .) The Death Cure, another third book.

Dashner,

We will never forgive you

Sincerely, me and my people.

Seriously, what was the point of the end of The Death Cure???!!! Teresa's death-what?! The roof is falling! The roof is falling!

I'm seeing some Chicken Little plagiarism here.

Anyway, there was no point in Teresa's death, the only "point" was so Thomas could date Brenda without feeling bad. I expected James Dashner to come up with a better end. And when the roof fell and Teresa pushed Thomas and they ran off, later Brenda was all like "I'm sorry about Teresa" Yeah right, you're so sorry, yet you're going to make out with Thomas in a couple of seconds!

I'm getting off track.

Teresa didn't need to die. I actually somewhat liked Teresa. The girls got guts, I'll give her that, more than Brenda, at least. Her death seemed unfair.

So was another's.

Newt should've been immune. It is so unfair it's not right-
Nopenopenopenopenope moving on!

Mockingjay.

Guys.

The end was just so

Numb

The third book, we knew Prim all along and loved her like she were our sister. Katniss loved Prim so much, that she joined the games for her. Its terrible remembering Katniss Prim-less. Not a good combo.

The only one in her family left was her mother, and she barely loved her to begin with. (The poor mother)

And then Finnick.

Guys.
Finnick.

Finnick Odair was married to Annie Cresta. He had a family. Annie needed him to help her.
Annie was pregnant.
Finnick was going to be a father.
And in a paragraph
Suzanne Collins tore apart his future.
A paragraph.

We all adored Finnick Odair. He's FINNICK! But then he left Annie . . . all alone . . . With a baby.

Then there was the "She's dead you stupid cat and she's never coming back!"
Can't do this! Next please next!

Even The Titans Curse was sad, and that's not even a trilogy!

I loved Bianca di Angelo! She was so sweet and kind and loved Nico so much, and Nico adored her so much. Bianca pulled a Tris on us *sobs* and sacrificed herself for everyone else so Percy and Thalia and Grover and Zoë could live. She left Nico and died.

Zoë's death had me crying so hard, because it was so sweet and sad. All she wanted to do was save Artemis and she gave up her life to save and please and honor her. The stars. Now stars have a different meaning! It's just so sweet and sad and-

Okay, I need to stop.

Last, the devestation on Nico's face when he found out about Bianca, how much hatred and anger he had, the promise.

Third books are devastating. Don't trust them.
