Mortal: what exactly is a- *whispers* fangirl?
Me: *takes a deep breath* calm, calm, calm, calm. Okay, so being a fangirl means when you find this book or TV show or band and you start obsessing over it!
Mortal: ok...
Me: When you put your WHOLE HEART AND SOUL INTO A FANDOM! IT BECOMES YOU! WHEN YOU COMPLETELY RELATE TO THE CHARACTER WHEN YOU FEEL AS THOUGH YOU ARE THEM! WHEN YOUR FICTIONAL CHARACTERS ARE REAL TO YOU! WHEN YOU EXPERIENCE MANY FEELINGS, WHEN YOU GET INSANELY EXCITED OVER A NEW BOOK, ANTICIPATING THE DAY IT WILL ARRIVE! WHEN YOUR FANDOM IS YOUR WHOLE ENTIRE LIFE, AND NO ONE ELSE CARES HOW YOU FEEL! WHEN YOU START CRYING AND SCREAMING REGULARLY! WHEN YOU SPEND HOURS AND HOURS ON TUMBLR! WHEN YOU TALK IN A LANGUAGE NORMAL PEOPLE DON'T UNDERSTAND! WHEN YOU HAVE THIS WORLD IN YOUR HEAD THAT YOU LIVE IN AND MEET YOUR CHARACTERS AND- *Starts crying* AND YOU LOVE PEOPLE WHO WILL NEVER LOVE YOU BACK! NO ONE CARES! NO ONE UNDERSTANDS! THEY JUST LOOK AT ME LIKE I'M THE WEIRD ONE, WHEN IN REALITY, THEY'RE THE WEIRD ONE FOR NOT BEING OBSESSED!
Mortal: uh...
Me: I NEED DAUNTLESS CAKE!!!!!
