Jason's POV

I walk inside of Parker's apartment, where I have been staying for a very long time now, because I'm one of his guards, and I practically live here.

I kind of have my own room in the pack house, but I can't remember the last time that I was there for more than a few minutes.

I make sure to lock the front door behind me, and then I go inside of my room to leave the keys in the metal box that's locked with a pass code that only I and the other guards that are staying here know.

When that's done, I take another key, and I go towards Parker's room to see if he's alright.

I make sure to knock on the door, although I know that he won't answer, if he will even hear it.

Parker is sitting I on his bed, and he has his headphones on, although he's looking at me with a frown, so I guess that he saw when I was opening the door.

"You have to eat something." I tell him, and he takes his headphones off.

"What?" He asks me.

"I said that you should eat something." I tell him, and he rolls his eyes, before he stands up.

I look around his room to make sure that everything's alright here, since he already tried to get out of here, and that's why Denver made sure that it won't be possible.

"Someone asked about you, I think that he was from your family, but I'm not sure." I say, and Parker turns his head to look at me.

"Was he an Omega?" Parker asks and I nod.

"That's most likely Luca, he's almost twenty and he still didn't meet his mate, so he's a but stressed about this." He explains.

"Why is he stressed about it?" I ask, wondering why he would be scared of meeting his mate.

I would like to know who's my mate, but I guess that they're not in this pack, because otherwise I would have already smelled them.

"I'm not sure, he said something about not being sure if his mate will like him.

I already tried to assure him that it will be alright, although I guess that he needs some more reminding." He tells me.

I just nod, and I look at him while he tried to make something to eat, and when he's done, I let him eat in the dining room, before I lead him back to his own room.

His room is a lot smaller than mine, but Denver told me that it's making it easier for him to make sure that Parker won't run away.

I lock the door, and I go back to my own room, so I can talk with one of my friends.

Thankfully, Parker isn't making many problems, so staying here isn't that bad, especially if I look at how much I earn for this.

When some of the other guards will come back, then we will let Parker out of his room for a few hours.

I shouldn't even let him walk around the apartment when I'm alone, but I can't just let him rot in that room, so I make exceptions for him sometimes.

I just hope that Denver won't find out about it.
