Maybe This Will Not Last

Chapter 25

Luca's POV

I walk through the woods, trying to find my mate, who just ran out of the house, but I can't find him anywhere.

"Go back Jason, I made a decision, and I expect you to follow my wishes." Denver says, and I from, before I go in the direction that his voice came from.

"What's going on here?" I ask, when I can see them, but I make sure to stay a bit away from them, because the both of them look a bit angry.

Well Jason looks angry, while Denver is a bit frustrated with the fact that Jason doesn't want to listen to him.

"Nothing." Jason says, before he decides to keep walking in the direction of the pack house.

"What did you do to him?" I ask Denver, and he rolls his eyes at me.

"I just told him that he won't be Parker's guard anymore, and he doesn't seem to like it at all." Denver says, and then he gestures for me to follow him.

"Why don't you want him to work as Parker's guard?" I ask him.

I know that Jason likes to work as a guard, and he had to work hard to become a pack arrior, so I'm not surprised that he doesn't like the idea.

"I still want him to be a guard and a warrior, I just don't want him to live with Parker.

He already found you, so I want him to have more time to spend with you, and working as a guard for Parker won't allow him to have enough time for you." Denver tells me.

"I will talk with him." I say, and he nods.

We continue to walk towards the pack house, and then Denver tells me that Jason went to Parker's apartment to pack his things, so that's where I go.

I knock on the front door of Parker's apartment, and Brody opens it, before he lets me walk inside.

"He's in his room, but he wasn't very happy." He tells me, before I can even greet him, so I give him a grateful smile, before I go in the direction of Jason's scent.

I knock lightly on the open door, and Jason turns to see who's here, although he just gives me a slight smile, before he continues to pack his things.

"Do you want me to help you?" I ask him.

"Sure." He says, so I take one of the boxes that Denver most likely brought here earlier, and I start to pack Jason's clothes.

When we have everything packed, Jason calls some of his friends, and they help us move them to Jason's room.

But thankfully they leave us right after all of the things are in Jason's room.

"Do you want to stay here, or would you prefer to stay with me?" I ask him, and he looks at me for a while, most likely trying to decide what he wants to do now.

"Well, my things are here for now, so I guess that I will stay here for a while, and then we will see." He tells me, and I nod slightly, although I'm a bit disappointed by that.
