Jason's POV

"Let's go." I say when I see that Luca is already waiting on me in front of the front door.

He opens the door, and we walk outside together.

We decided that we will go on a run in our wolf forms, because Luca didn't shift for a while now, and it's not healthy to not shift for more than a week.

To be honest, I'm sure that he would have been happy with just running around the pack, but I want to take him outside of the pack lands to surprise him.

"Why couldn't we eat before we left? Do you want me to faint or something?" He asks me, and I roll my eyes.

One of the first things that I learned while living with him is that he's never in good mood if someone refuses to let him eat the breakfast.

"You can't eat before you run in your wolf form." I tell him, although that's a lie.

I'm planning to show him how to hunt when we will be outside of the pack border, so I had to come up with some excuse.

Luca is an Omega, and in this pack that means that he wasn't allowed to get out for the pack lands without his mate, so this will be the first time that he will leave the pack.

I can't wait to see his reaction, although I know that he would have preferred to go to the city.

I will take him there too, but I wanted to start with the hunting.

The both of us shift to our wolf form, and I gesture for Luca to start running.

Because he's a lot smaller than me, and I'm not sure how quickly he will be able to run.

It turns out that he's quicker than most of the Omegas, which allows us to reach the pack border quicker than I expected.

"Are we going outside?" Luca asks me through the mind link, which allows werewolves to communicate when two people from the same pack are in their wolf form.

"That's what I was planning to do, but we don't have to go if you don't want to." I tell him.

He looks at me for a while, and he looks like he's not sure what he wants to do, but then he lets out a sound, which sounds like a happy growl and he runs past me.

I follow him outside of the pack border, and I look at his happy expression while he runs wherever he can.

The woods that are in the pack lands are slightly different than the ones that are here.

Well, they look almost the same, except for the fact that the trees that are here look untouched.

But the main difference is that the trees that are in the pack lands smell like the people who walk around them, while the trees here smell fresh.

That's mostly a good thing, as long as someone knows how to track, because a lot of people manages to get lost in here, and then the pack warriors like me have to come here to look for them.
