Maybe This Will Not Last

Chapter 43

Jason's POV

We walk inside of Parker's room, before any doctor can stop us from doing that.

I can smell that doctor Chris was here, although I guess that he already left, because the scent is very faint, but I'm sure that Peter is somewhere around here.

"What happened to you?" Luca asks, and this makes Parker turn his head to look at him.

I silently greet Brody and the other guard, who are sitting near the door, and they greet me back.

"Can you leave us with him for a while?" I ask them, and they nod, before they go out of the room.

I look back at Luca, who's now sitting on the edge of the bed, beside Parker's feet.

Parker is looking at the ceilings, and he refuses to answer to Luca's question, but he sighs loudly when Luca starts to waive his hand in front of his face.

He sits up, but right after he does that, he starts to feel sick, so I take a small box that's laying on one of the shelfs, and I give it to him.

He throws up a few times, and when he's done, I take the box to wash it in the bathroom, while Luca tries to get the answer out of him.

"If you won't tell me what happened, then I will tell Xander to come here." Luca threatens lightly, talking about his uncle who's a therapist.

"They hurt me." Parker says, not looking at Luca.

"How?" Luca asked him gently.

"They said that I'm weird, because I'm kind of half an Omega, and they do some experiments to me every few weeks.

They're trying to figure out why I'm like this." Parker responds, and this makes Luca angry.

"I will tell Denver about it." Luca says, and he tries to leave the room, but I stop him.

"I'm pretty sure that Denver knows already. Brody had to take him here a lot of times, and I usually helped him, but I don't know what they wanted him here." I say, and Luca just shakes his head.

"I will go to Carter then." Luca says.

"He knows too." Parker tells him. "I had a voting about it, and Denver actually was against this, but almost everyone wanted the doctors to find out why I'm like this." He explains.

"You're not like anything. You're yourself, and I will make sure that they will leave you alone." Luca says, and I nod in agreement.

"What's going on here?" Peter asks us, right after the opens the door.

"That's what I should be asking you." Luca tells him angrily. "I thought that you were normal, but I guess that I was wrong." He says.

"I'm just following Denver's orders, it's not like I can say no to the Alpha." Peter says, and then he walks towards Parker, who's now shaking.

I quickly stand on his way, and I make him walk back towards the door, which isn't hard, since he's not very strong.

"Leave him alone." I tell him, and Peter rolls his eyes, before he turns around.

"I will call Denver." He informs me, and then he leaves us alone.
