Maybe This Will Not Last

Chapter 40

Luca's POV

I might have forgotten to tell my family about the fact that I'm pregnant, and that's most likely because of the fact that I was way too excited to tell Parker.

So, after I told him, then I forgot that I have more family members that don't know about it yet.

I just hope that they won't be angry at me for keeping it to myself for this long, because it wasn't my intention at all.

And I already have an angry Alpha annoying me at every opportunity that he has.

Jason went somewhere with his friends, so I guess that I should tell everyone without him.

So, I go down the stairs, to see is my parents are here, and surprisingly I find them in the living room.

"I'm pregnant." I tell them, and the both of them turn to look at me.

"We know, Denver told us a long time ago, and we were actually wondering if you were planning to tell us one day." Dad says, and papa nods slightly.

"I forgot." I say, with an innocent smile, and dad rolls his eyes at me.

"Sounds like something that you would do." He tells mewith a chuckle, and I groan slightly.

"It's going to be a girl." I say after a while, and this makes their eyes widen.

I'm not surprised by their reaction, since we don't have any girls in our family.

The last girl was Carter's mother, but she already died, so now there are only men and boys.

"Are you serious?" Dad asks, and he looks like he's about to start jumping, because of how happy he is.

"No." I say. "Anyway, I have to tell Carter, Timmy and Mason, so I'm going there now." I say, and I quickly run out of the house with a loud laugh.

I don't think that I will forget my parents disappointed expressions for a long time, but now I have something to tell Carter, and hopefully he will find it as funny as I did.

That will be a great distraction from the anger, because he definitely will be angry when he will find out that I forgot to tell him that there will be another kid in our family.

Before I can reach my grandparents' house, I can see that Denver is walking in the direction that I'm coming from.

And I guess that he was walking towards my house, because of the expression that he makes when he sees me.

"What did I do this time?" I ask him, because I have no idea why he's angry at me again.

"You didn't do anything, at least not yet." He tells me, and I frown.

"Your mate told me about your plan to hit Bear in the stomach, and I'm really disappointed in the both of you.

Because Bear is an Omega, and something like this would most likely kill not only the kid, but him too." Denver says.

I wonder why Jason would have told him about that, but then I groan when I realise that he found some drugs, and that he went to hang out with his friends.

I guess that I should have taken the bag from him when I was able to do that, but it's a bit too late for that now.
