Maybe This Will Not Last

Chapter 35

Jason's POV

I look at his stomach for a while, and I wonder how long it will take for it to start growing, but I guess that we have a few more weeks until that will happen.

"I guess that we should try to convince the doctor to do it without telling anyone." I say, and he thinks about it for a long while, before he nods.

"I guess that it will be the best option." He tells me. "But I still don't get why you don't tell your mate about it, and why you told me to lie to him." "Bear says, sounding a bit frustrated.

"I don't want him to be upset over something like this, the kid won't survive long enough to be born, so there's no reason to tell him. At least for now." I say, and he rolls his eyes, but he nods anyway.

"Whatever, it's your mate, so I will let you do what you want to do." He tells me, and I smile at him gratefully.

"Let's talk with the doctor then." I say, and then I stand up from the bed.

Bear went to the doctor to check if he's pregnant, but the doctor wasn't there, and the boy who is training with doctor Chris did the ultrasound for him.

It turned out that Bear is pregnant, but he managed to convince the boy to not tell anyone, which thankfully gave us a lot more options with this.

I'm pretty sure that the fact that the boy, who's name is Peter, is the part of the Alpha's family helped us too.

That's because the one of the Alpha's nephews is his mate, and Peter isn't happy with Denver, since he treats his mate unequally, mostly because of the fact that he's an Omega.

"Actually, I have a better idea." I say, when I come up with something better.

"What?" Bear asks me.

"We should ask Peter for help." I say, and Bear considers it, although he doesn't look convinced.

"Do you think that he already knows how to a surgery?" He asks me, and I shrug.

"Well, he's not a kid anymore, and he trained with the doctor for a long time now, so I guess that we should ask him." I say, and he nods again, before he gestures for me to lead the way.

"When we walk into the pack hospital, I quickly look around, to make sure that doctor Chris isn't here, and then I walk in the direction of Peter's scent.

"What's wrong with you this time?" Peter asks, when he sees Bear, but then he frowns slightly when I walk inside of his office too.

"Well, we wanted to ask you about something." I say, and he nods slightly, waiting for me to tell him why we're here.

"I'm listening." He tells me.

"We wanted to ask is you will be able to get the kid out of Bear, and if you could not tell the Alpha about it." I say, hoping that he will agree.
