Luca's POV

Pascal and I walk towards the clearing where the pack run will start in a few minutes.

Or more like in over half an hour, but Pascal forced me to come here him early, because he's way too impatient to wait.

"Why didn't your mate want to go with you?" I ask him curiously, and he rolls his eyes.

"I'm still angry at him for taking those drugs, so I told him that I don't want to go with him this time." Pascal tells me, and I chuckle slightly.

It turned out that Raid saw Jason and his friends, and he got invited to take the drugs with them when my mate saw him.

"I wouldn't be angry at Jason if not the fact that he ruined out plans." I tell him.

Denver decided that Bear will be watched by the guards all the time until he will give birth, because apparently Denver doesn't trust us to not hurt him.

To be honest, I'm not surprised because I wouldn't trust us either, and I'm sure that Jason and Bear are planning how to end this pregnancy as much as I'm doing that.

"I really can't believe that Denver doesn't want to allow Bear to remove the kid." Pascal says. "Did you even have a voting or are you following Denver's stupidity." He asks me.

"I wanted to have a voting, but Denver said that he can't make a voting for something that is said in the pack laws.

And from what he said, the pack laws say that removing a pregnancy isn't legal." I explain, and Pascal groans.

"Then tell him to do a voting that will change this law." Pascal says, and I consider it.

"Well, I guess that I can try to do that." I say, although I'm pretty sure that Denver will manage to come up with some excuse for not doing that.

We walk in silence the rest of the way, and when we reach the clearing, I quickly glare at Pascal.

"No one's here yet." I tell him, gesturing to the almost empty clearing.

"We're not the first ones here." Pascal says, and I look around the clearing again to see what he's talking about.

"The only person that I can see is Denver." I say. "And I really don't want to see him right now." I tell him.

Pascal just shrugs, before he leads me towards one of the tallest trees.

We sit under it, and we talk for a while, until other people start to come here.

When the clearing is full of people, Pascal and I stand up, so we can shift, but before I do it, I try to find my mate.

He's somewhere here, but he has to work as a guard to make sure that no one will be left behind, so I won't be able to run next to him this time.

But hopefully he will be allowed to take a day off the next time that we will have the pack run.

I find him quickly, and he's already looking at me, so I give him a slight smile, and he smiles back.

Something wet touches my arm, and when I look at it, I can see that Pascal is already in his wolf form, and that he's touching my hand with his nose.

I chuckle slightly, before I shift too, and not much later, the pack run begins.
