Luca's POV

We were sitting here for a few hours now, and I wonder how long we will have to stay here.

The rogue attacks usually take less than an hour, so I'm sure that it's something that's more serious than that, and it makes me worry.

"Where's your mate?" I ask Pascal.

"At the pack house." He tells me. "Where is yours?" He asks me.

Before I can respond, I start to feel weird, like I'm in pain, but the pain is distant.

Pascal gives me a knowing look,  and it makes me panic.

"Something is wrong with Jason." I tell him, and he nods.

"I'm sure that he will be fine." Pascal assures me, and I shake my head.

I keep feeling worse, so I'm sure that it's something very serious.

"I wouldn't be able to feel his pain if he wasn't dying." I say, and it seems that Pascal agrees, because he doesn't know what to say.

"We have to stay here." Pascal tells me, when I try to open the door.

I know that he's right, so I let him make me sit again, and I try to calm myself.

I just hope that I'm wrong in assuming that he's dying, because I know that I won't die with him, since we didn't bite each other yet, and that would mean that I will have to live without him.

I take my phone out, and I try to call Denver to see if he knows anything, but I my phone doesn't want to turn on.

I throw it at the wall, and I rest my back against the wall.

The pain stops about an hour later, and I wonder if it's because someone helped him, and that he's finally safe, or if he just died.

But I guess that if he died, then I would have known that somehow.

I'm thankfully that Pascal is here, because I'm sure that if I was alone, then I would be somewhere in the woods now, trying to find my mate.

It takes a few more hours, but the alarm finally stops, so I open the door, and I walk out of the safe room, hoping that I will be able to reach the pack house as soon as possible.

Pascal and I go there right away, and I quickly go towards Denver when I see him.

"Have you seen Jason?" I ask him.

"No, but I'm sure that he's somewhere here." He tells me.

"I kind of felt his pain, so I'm pretty sure that he was injured badly." I tell him and his eyes widen slightly.

"I will try to find him." He tells me, and I nod, before I watch him as he runs into the woods, most likely in the direction of Jason's scent.

It takes him a while, but he comes back, although his expression isn't very happy.

"There's a lot of his blood on the ground, enough for me to assume that he didn't survive.

But I couldn't find him, so I will tell some of the warriors to try to do it." He tells me.

I just nod, although I don't want to believe that he's assumes that my mate is dead.

Pascal comes towards me, and he helps me sit on the side of the pack house, and we wait here, hoping that the guards will be able to find him.
