Maybe This Will Not Last

Chapter 18

Luca's POV

I groan slight when I hear that someone's walking inside of my house, because I'm pretty sure that it's Pascal, and I don't really want to talk with him now.

But I frown slightly when I realise that this person doesn't smell like him.

I think that they were trying to hide their scent, but it seems that they did that incorrectly, because I can still smell them.

I quickly stand up when I see that this person is Jason's sister, and I look around, trying to find something that will allow me to defend myself.

I find a knife that lies on the small table which was in this living room since I can remember, but I'm not sure if I will actually use it.

That's because I'm not even sure how to use the knife to defend myself, and I'm most likely not even strong enough to hurt someone with it.

There's also the fact that I'm not sure if I that won't get time in trouble with Jason or even Denver, but I hope that they will understand that I was defending myself.

"What are you doing here?" I ask her, and she rolls her eyes.

"I'm here to kill you. Why else would I come here? This place is literally disgusting, I have no idea why people like you and your family are allowed to live." She tells me.

"Did you forget that the Alpha is gay too?" I ask her, and she sighs tiredly, as if the topic is exhausting her.

"I know, I will have to do something with him too, but that will require a lot more planning and help.

So, I guess that I can start with killing people like you." She tells me, and she takes her own knife from behind her.

"Do you know that if you will kill me, then you will also kill your brother?" I ask her, and she rolls her eyes, this time a lot harder.

"It won't kill him because you're not mated yet. You didn't bite him, and he didn't bite you, so this means that there's no connection between you and my brothers.

And that allows me to kill you without killing him too." She explains, and I frown slightly.

"I already bite him." I tell her.

That's a lie, but I hope that she won't find out about it anytime soon, because that would give her the opportunity to kill me.

"That's not true." She says, but she sounds like she's pouting, so I guess that she doesn't know that it's really a lie.

"He spent the last few hours with me, and I managed to bite him, but he didn't do the same.

Because Denver called him, and told him to go to the pack house." I say, and she looks at me for a while, before she starts to look angry.

A few seconds later, she quickly comes towards me, and she tries to stab me with the knife, but I hold my knife in her way, and she cuts her own hand with it.
