Maybe This Will Not Last

Chapter 36

Luca's POV

"I would be able to do that, but I don't think that it's a good decision." Peter says, when I walk inside of the pack hospital, and my eyes widen when I realise that he's talking with Bear and Jason.

I can smell their scent that goes inside of the doctor's office, although it seems that they're talking to Peter.

To be honest, to don't have to think for a long time to guess what they're talking about, and I have to stop myself from walking in there, because I'm sure that I will start to shout at all of them.

"Why not?" Bear asks.

"Because I don't want to go against the Alpha's decision." Peter responds.

I wonder if they know that the door is open, and that anyone that will be here will hear them without a problem.

But I guess that they don't know about it yet, so I decide that I should stay here, and listen to what they have to say, because it's clear that my mate won't tell me anything about it.

"You already went against his decision when you lied about the results of the ultrasound." Jason says. "That's why I don't get why you have a problem with lying to him now." Jason tells him.

"Well, small lies won't get me fired, but if I will do a surgery like this without informing him, then that will be the end of my time here." Peter tells him.

Before anyone else can say anything, the door to one of the rooms opens, and I can see that Denver is walking out of the room, so I quickly walk inside of the office, and I close the door behind me.

"Denver is near." I tell them quietly. "And you left the door open." I say.

To be honest, I'm angry and annoyed at Jason for lying to me, but I want this kid to be gone too, so I guess that I will have to leave my angry for later.

A few seconds later, someone knocks on the door, and my eyes widen slightly, although I decide to open the door.

"What's going on here?" Denver asked me, and I guess that he already knows that Jason and Bear are here too, since even I could smell them.

I really can't believe that Jason is this stupid, he's a Warrior, so he should have at least hide his own scent.

"Nothing, we just came here to make sure that Bear isn't pregnant, because Jason said that he doesn't believe Bear, and he wanted to be sure about this." I say, but Denver looks unimpressed.

"I heard most of their conversation." Denver tells me. "So, I expect all three of you to go to my office." He says to us, before he looks at Peter.

"And you will come there in about an hour, so you can explain to me why you lied about the ultrasound, and then I will decide on a punishment for you." Denver tells him, and Peter nods once, although he doesn't look happy at all.

I gesture for Jason and Bear to come with me, and all of us follow Denver to his office.

I just hope that Peter won't be in a lot of trouble because of them.
