Maya decided that she has to talk with Ekansh and apologize to him. She couldn't see his hatred filled eyes for her anymore, She had thought that the life without him is harder on her but today she realised that it is more better than living under his hateful gaze.

Going out from her room she roamed around not knowing where he would be, A maid saw her looking around searching something and went to her. "Who are you? What do you want?" Maya got startled suddenly due to her presence and turned to her.

She looked at the girl who was of her age and gulped nervously before saying."I..I am n..new here, So I was looking a..around." She said shuddering in between.

The maid nodded and smiled introducing herself."I am Riya! Come I will show you around."

Maya shook her head."No.. No need, Hm..that can you please tell me Where is Ek- I m..mean Sir?" Riya looked at her a little suspicious and Maya continued. "Hm.. I have to talk with him about my job but I don't know where he is." She said hoping that she will believe her.

Riya nodded her head making Maya feel relieved and said."He must be in his study room at this time."

Maya smiled at her and thanking her she went to the direction she pointed at. Her heart heart pounded loudly in her chest as she made her way towards Ekansh's study, Her mind raced with a mix of fear and determination. She knew she had to apologize, to make things right, even though she was terrified of his reaction.

As she reached the door to his study, Maya hesitated for a moment, her hand trembling as she raised it to knock but stopped her hand mid way. The memories of his earlier words, making her hesitate even more. But deep down, she knew she couldn't run away anymore. She needed to face him, face her mistakes, and try to mend what was broken.

In fear she dropped the idea of knocking and grabbed the knob and to her relief the door was not locked, letting out a breath she pushed the door slowly and carefully with her heart thudding against her ribcage.
