*** Your POV ***

"Y/n?" The woman answered back in a melodic voice that sounded like it had its own echo.

"Lillith what are you doing? Let him go!" You yelled at your old friend.

"Let him go? Are you mad?" Lillith yanked on the soul chain making Alastor collapse, his forehead racing towards the ground but you caught his shoulders holding him up. You had tears in your eyes seeing him like this, his posture and pain looking exactly like your own the day Mammon got a hold of your contract. All scrunched and pained like he was trying to keep his body together from the wounds, and keep the overwhelming feeling of helplessness at bay.

"This isn't like you Lillith!" You cried, tears hot and heavy in your eyes, "Why are you holding a soul chain?"

"Because he is a monster! He owns thousands of souls and he had to be stopped anyways and -"

"But you hate soul deals!" Your voice was cracking from both the pain you felt from Alastor and from seeing your friend like this. Flashbacks of you and her together flooded your mind as you looked into her eyes. You were sitting on a mound in old Hell, close to the middle of the garden of Eden with full view of the tree of wisdom. Above you was a night sky with bright red stars that sparkled like gem stones. You were talking to Lillith about giving up your soul to Percival so he could protect you in the cases you got hunted and she was the one cautioning you against it, despite it being her own husband who suggested the idea.

"Freedom is our most valuable treasure. With freedom anything is possible. One must tread carefully as to not give up their own freedom. ISNT THAT WHAT YOU SAID?" You practically screamed in desperation, doing everything in your power to hold onto Alastor who was rapidly going slack in your arms.

"You don't understand!" Lillith fired back, "This abomination of a soul was finally brought to deaths door by three other overlords and I had to take my chance to stop his rampage. So I made a deal. - "

"Mom?" Charlie's voice interrupted Lillith, "Mom! What are you doing here?"

"Ohh don't even get me started on you."Lillith voice which until now had at least some notes of empathy, perhaps from shock of seeing an old face like yours, now turned downright growling as she turned to her daughter "You had ONE fucking job to save this place. Redeem ONE fucked up bastard. ONE that I handed to you on a silver fucking platter, clean for seven years of his eating habits. I left everything for you. I left Lucifer. I stayed up in that wretched place for years, I convinced those hypocrite fucks to give your hotel a chance on multiple occasions and you couldn't so much do one thing right. I should have known you would have never had what it takes!"

"Mom.... you don't mean that..." Charlie was crying crocodile tears at the scathing words. Meanwhile your brain was still processing what she said, Alastor was clean for seven years? She deprived him of his food source here for seven fucking years? There was so much rage and pain in your chest it felt like it was going to explode. Charlie on the other hand had gotten some of her firecracker energy back as she noticed the horrible state Alastor was in on the ground with you holding on to him, "What did you expect me to do? Force them?"

"Yes." Lillith insisted her voice still threatening, "Sinners like him only understand force. You have the same power I do, but you don't have the heart! You don't care enough about the rest of them to force one monster to do whats necessary."

"I do care! Thats why I can't force them! Thats not right! They have to choose!" Charlie cried again in protest. It was ironic really, she was portraying the same ideals Lillith used to preach to you much more so than the Lillith you saw in front of you was.
