*** Lucifer's POV ***
Crap. Fuck. SHIT. Really?
Who was I kidding - yes really. I opened portals to other rings for the hellborn to get through, and fought of exterminator angels trying to keep an eye out on the hotel crew. Charlie and Vaggie began fighting together like they did in the last battle, but by the time I made it over to them my daughter was looking around frantically. I floated over on my wings, knocking away whole groups of angels as I went.
"Dad!" Charlie noticed me, "Can you find Angel Dust, Husker and Nifty? I don't know where they are!"
I could see you and Alastor a little ways away, where the bar use to be until the impact of the angel's arrival knocked out that whole wall. But the others were no where to be seen.
"I got it." I assured Charlie and went about flying in different directions trying to find the rest of the rag tag group, eventually finding Angel Dust and Husker fighting together on the outskirts, getting dangerously pressed by a large wave of angels. I swooped down landing with a big impact and waved my hand to push them all way.
"Nice timing!" Angel Dust exclaimed.
"Glad I could help. Have you seen Nifty?" My question was answered by the little thing running between my legs and jumping down on the nearest angel frantically stabbing it with a little dagger yelling "STAB STAB STAB!" Still creepy. But it worked.
"We're good here now I think." Husker jumped to beside me throwing multiple cards out that stunned the angels into a weird sort of daze, which Nifty hen cleaned up. "Go make sure everyone else is alright."
"Here," I materialized a gold apple then threw it to him, "If you get overwhelmed like that again, use it it will do the same thing I just did. Just don't get hit by the blast."
"Roger that." Husker took it and chucked it back to Angel, apparently he trusted him more with explosives.
With that I flew back up, trying to find Charlie and Vaggie again. I spotted Charlie running across the battlefield and followed her trying to land behind her but she was running so fast by the time I landed she was quite a ways away. "Charlie!" I tried yelling but she wasn't listening. I ran after her, trying to figure out what in the world she could be making her way towards.
The mixture of emotions I had at the voice I heard could only be described as otherworldly. Everything from relief to horror flooded my body. It stopped me in my tracks for a second. But then the words it was saying brought me back to my senses and I ran again, rounding the corner behind some debris. My eyes falling on the most surprising, horrific, and wonderful sight at the same time.
*** Your POV ***
Panic broke out. But a saving grace of all the demons here was that the hotel was plenty prepared for war. And due to multiple high ranking demons present, the hellborn had a way to get out. Asmodeus and Lucifer had conjured multiple portals for them to the lust ring to temporarily evacuate there. Stolas was able to grab Octavia and teleport her out as well. But the sinners were left to defend themselves against the surprise barrage of angelic exterminators. Unlike the last time, before you joined the hotel, this didn't have an exact warning. It wasn't a planned culling, this was a real and total extermination. Heaven has decided that keeping the current sinners alive was too much of a liability to their status quo and wanted to start over by whiping them out.
You did your best to pull demons to the side and heal them, but you were running out of blood fast. Charlie and Vaggie were fighting side by side, having summoned their shield and spear respectively. Angel was shooting angels left and right, showing actually a surprising aptitude for being able to handle himself in a battle. Husker was throwing cards that were able to stun the angels allowing Nifty to finish them off with a little dagger that you were not sure where she got from, and were also pretty sure she should not in general have access to, but it worked for the moment.
The fight was slowly drawing all of you apart, everyone having to dodge and weave between the assault from all sides. The walls of the building came down, followed by its roof and other debris forming. In the distance you could see more angels attacking the city, billowing smoke coming out various places. Even the pentagram above became hard to see from the sticky black clouds that filled the sky. It was hard to tell how much time had passed fighting, but there seemed to be no end to it. You briefly heard Charlie yell something out to Lucifer but they were too far away for you to make out what they were saying.
The chaos only increased as the battle went on, you did all you could to stay out of the way while helping as many as possible. Until a cold feeling like frost climbing up a window starting crawling up from you abdomen and into your chest. You looked around, where did Alastor go? After he pulled you away from the initial impact you saw him battling angels, slaughtering them left and right but now he was no where to be seen. Which was odd, you knew he wouldn't want to leave you on your own in this mess on purpose. But he was no where to be seen in the vicinity.
You thought quickly, still trying to keep out of the way. First you made attempt to get back to Charlie and Vaggie, but there was too many angels between you and them. The was too much debris piling up for you to be able to see far and the panic in you was still raising. And you had no idea where Husker or Angel Dust were. You had thought that maybe you could use your contract to find him.
"Alastor?" You tried to call out, waiting a few seconds, but nothing. You knew for a fact he wouldn't just ignore that. Something was absolutely earth shaking levels of wrong and you needed to find out what. But how can you find him in all of this mess?
What you needed was a vantage point, but the buildings around you have become rubble, and climbing narrow stairs was out of the question. Then you almost face palmed yourself, you had wings though you didn't use them often. You concentrated on your back and allowed your black leathery wings to extend out all the way, really making you look like a bat in your dark clothing.
Although you were wobbly in the air, you were able to raise yourself up high enough to look over the battlefield. And another perk to black wings and dark attire is that it was not easily noticeable in this kind of mess. The same thing could not be said about Alastor's red suit which stood out, and you were able to spot him pretty far in the distance from where you were, knelt down on the ground. Without even paying attention to anything else you rushed down to him, practically tumbling in the landing scraping your knees and ripping your skirt as you skidded next to him.
"Alastor! Alastor are you okay???" You wrapped your arms around his shoulders and looked into his face. He was pale, there was blooding dripping out of his mouth.
"Y/n, no, get out of here." He croaked, his voice weak, "I can't protect you from her."
Thats when you noticed around his neck a glossy purple collar, and followed its chain on the ground where it looped once then went back up. As your eyes trailed the chain, you eventually looked up meeting eyes with a tall, blonde woman with bright violet eyes. Her expression filled with disgust and malice, her hand gripped tightly around the chain. You knew the face, but you barely recognized it.
"Lillith?"
