***Trigger warning, blood and injury

*** Your POV ***

Finally you and Alastor were able to get home. He was wobbling on his feet, and you had to support him with every step.

You brought him to the downstairs bathroom. It wasn't as big as the one off the master bedroom but it still had a large enough tub for what you wanted to do and there was no way you were going to get him up the stairs. You sat him down on the edge of the bath tub and turned on the water.

"Sunshine... you need to recover before you treat me."

"Shhh shhh, don't speak right now. Just let me help." Carefully you unbuttoned his suit and started taking it off, the blood making it sticky and unwieldy. Alastor did the best he could to move with you, but he was clearly stiff from the wounds. You had to unclip his suspenders then undo his button down. His monocle was cracked so you gently took it off and put it on the sink counter before you turned back to look at the wounds.

He was covered in lashes, they were deep scarlet and angry. His shoulders, arms, and chest littered with long red marks. Lillith's whip may not be angelic, but it had its own magic that made these wounds very debilitating. You continued stripping Alastor until he was bare in front of you, taking your time to not hurt him. His legs had them too, like she struck at them to make sure he can't run away. Now that you saw these marks next to his other scars you realized many of them were from the same treatment.

Once you were done you had Alastor swing his legs over into the hot water, which he hissed at though didn't protest getting in. With your help he was able to lower himself down. He leaned back putting his head against the back of the tub with a pained groan.

You took out your pocket knife and cut your wrist over the tub. Diluted like this, it wouldn't have the same potency but for these wounds it should be enough. You watched the viscous liquid pour from your wrist, the droplets making soft splatting noises before sinking into the water and mixing with it, slowly turning the water into a pinkish hue. As the color of the water became more saturated, Alastor began to relax, his body responding to the remedies.

Looking around you spotted a pile of hand towels, so you grabbed one and dipped into the water, soaking it thoroughly. Gently you used the towel to dab the medicated water over Alastor's neck and shoulders. He gasped at the sensation no matter how delicate you were being but as the painkillers set in it got easier.

It wasn't for a while that Alastor opened his eyes, though they were brighter, he was clearly recovering. "Join me?"

"I don't want to hurt you." You mumbled a weakly. The tiredness was really taking you at this point, especially since you were using your blood again, still pouring more into the tub to make the water a deep maroon color by this point. Your hand was lazily hung over the edge, your fingers just barely skimming the water as the blood run down them.

"You won't." Alastor assured you, pulling up his arms from the tub and offering his embrace. "I need you."

You couldn't refuse that and stripped yourself, before carefully joining him in the tub, the water sloshing around a bit leaving slight pink residue on your skin as you settled down. Alastor wrapped his arms around you, putting his cheek on your head. The hot water with a slight smell of iron was lulling both of you senses to some sort of equilibrium.

"Its okay now. Everything is okay." Alastor's voice was low, earthy, the static crackling like a campfire. "Its over, we are okay."

You didn't even realize your body hasn't recognized that the danger had passed. Still stiff and wired in adrenaline. Alastor's words hit you like a ton of bricks in your chest and tears streamed out of your eyes, quiet sobs escaping your lips. You felt a droplet from Alastor fall into the water in front of you, looks like was holding it too.
