*** mild lemonyness ahead, its still mostly fluff though and it is pretty important so unless you are really reaaallllyyyyyyyyy against Alastor lemons I would recommend reading it.

***Alastor's POV***

Its been another couple of days and the meeting with Heaven was approaching. We should have both probably been getting some rest. But instead you and I stayed up chatting very late into the night, just talking about anything and everything on the two seater couch in the lounge. The whole hotel has gone to sleep and the lounge was dark save for the flame in the fireplace, crackling softly.

The entire time I couldn't take my eyes off of you. The beautiful smile, the little ears that twitched with delight at my jokes. I haven't felt like this with anyone before, I felt good. Content. Like there was a warm comforter around me. Conversation flowed easily from one topic to the next like a calm river. It was all so easy, all that existed was just this little couch and fire, this moment in time. I didn't really know what this feeling was, but I was just happy my emotions were not all over the place for once in my life or death. Even all that bickering my two opposing sides have been at the past few weeks has finally shut up. It was like I was connected to what you were feeling instead, which was tranquil and comforting.

At this point we were gossiping about Angel and Husker - apparently I had missed the fact that they had gone way further than the kiss we saw during our game of truth or dare.

"Oh come on, you can't tell me that you didn't notice that the two have been coming together from the same floor almost every other day?" You laughed.

"Why would that mean anything?"

"Oh goodness, sweetheart, their rooms are on different floors. If they come down for breakfast together it means they likely spent the night in the others room - if the lovebites on Husker's neck aren't damning evidence enough."

"What are..." I was about to ask what are lovebites before the realization dawned on me. It was probably a different term for what I thought it was. The two were most likely sleeping together - and not just in actual slumber. So all that came out is an "Oh."

"What's up, did you think Husker wasn't the type?"

"No... I wouldn't say that." I pondered the question for a moment. Always asking me these pesky questions, its like you had a knack for finding the most hard thing for me to think through and asking it in a way that felt like I had to. "Just didn't think about it I guess, I have never really paid much thought to those kinds of activities."

You paused briefly then asked with a tentative expression, "Have you never... been with anyone in that way?" I didn't really know why there was the hesitation there though, not like it was a loaded topic - at least thats what I thought.

"I have." I admitted readily - it was true I've had a fair amount of little flings through out my life and even when I first got to hell but none left an impression, "But frankly I never understood what all the fuss was about so I haven't in a long time. Why, is it something you are interested in?"

"Wouldn't say I am not." You shrugged and my eyes widened a bit. It should have been obvious considering what I knew of your relations with King Asmodeus the embodiment of Lust. But I didn't really think about it that way, my more memorable feelings of jealousy came at the way you were with Stolas. Despite my brief hang up about it, I didn't get the same feeling when I saw you interact with Asmodeus. But to hear you say it to me, in this context, gave it a different feeling. It gave me this inkling that it was something you had thought about doing, with me. The idea made my insides flip a way I didn't recognize.

"Why?" I asked, quite genuinely. Its not like I ever disliked it, but it never felt like anything special. Especially not the way Rosie has described it to me, all exciting and euphoric. I definitely never felt like I wanted or needed it.
