*** Alastor's POV ***

It was a few days after the heaven debocle. I was having a decent day. You and I had spent the morning playing chess in the main lounge area after I cooked breakfast for everyone. You made me coffee and it was exactly as I liked it, medium roast, black, even though I don't ever remember telling you how I took it. I only left after our game because I had some paperwork to do and I was intending to find you again afterwards. I certainly was not expecting being ambushed in my office and pinned by my neck to the wall.

"You tacky piece of shit how dare you make a deal with my daughter!"

Lucifer was livid. His full angelic form was out, eyes a glowing gold, full of fury. I looked down at him, but I wasn't going to give him the satisfaction of seeing me flail around.

"I should snap your neck right fucking now." He growled at me.

"You wouldn't," I had my voice permeate through my microphone cane, as to not have to try to talk with his hand on my throat.

"Why is that?"

"Charlie would be so disappointed. Her own father resolving to violence against her dear friend."

"Ggrrrrhhhhh" He glowered but finally let me go, allowing me fall to the ground. My feet hit the floor with a thud, and I almost toppled over but I used my shadow to steady myself subtly. Raising up and dusting off my jacket pointedly, making sure to keep my smile wide. "What the hell do you want with her?" Lucifer continued his barrage.

"That is for me to know." I twirled my cane and put it front of me.

"No you fucking shit stain, she's my daughter and you will tell me what you want." He pointed his white gloved finger at me.

"Did she not tell you what the deal was?" I enquired.

"You gave her information in exchange of one favor named later, one where she hurts no one. Correct?"

"Indeed!"

"What do you intend to ask her?" He yelled again. I just shrugged. "Then drop it." He demanded.

"No can do my friend." I walked past him and around my desk. "It was a legitimate deal, I couldn't break it if I wanted to."

"Then make it something inane. Please. I don't want her wrapped up in soul deals, especially not with you. I'll do anything."

Ding ding ding! I absolutely loved hearing those words come out people's mouths, hearing from Lucifer himself was another level of satisfying. "Anything?" I asked in a crackly voice. Enjoying the hesitant expression on the kings face. "Hmmm, well. How about a deal of our own then?"

"What do you want?" Lucifer grumbled.

"Oh nothin huge, nothing huge." I turned to face the window, allowing my self a moment to think. Lucifer could get me your soul, I think. Probably not for free, but he had the power. And frankly I didn't really care what he had to give up to do so. And any the turmoil the kingdom came to as a result of him doing so would probably only be in my favor in the long run. However, I still needed that undetermined favor in case I figured out how to use it to get out of my own predicament. What to do, what to do... The idea lit up my head like a Christmas light. "I want you to get me Y/n's soul." I piped up brightly.

"What? Why would you want her soul?" He looked at me suspiciously. Honestly, did these people not pay attention? Not like we made an announcement, but we haven't been subtle either. It should have been pretty clear we've grown close.

"That's for me to know." I stated, then continued with the conditions, "But in exchange, that pesky little favor that Charlie owes me - becomes yours to fulfill instead."

"That is not a balanced deal." Lucifer observed like I didn't know. Of course it wasn't, he was technically doing me two favors in exchange for getting his daughter out of one of them. But he wasn't you so I didn't care. So I shrugged with a little "Hmmph" looking back at him with a wide smile and glowing eyes, my cane now clasped behind my back. The shorty kept looking at me appraisingly.

"The favor not hurting anyone condition remains." He stated.

"Of course." I replied nodding amicably.

"Fine." Lucifer finally grumbled, music to my ears. I melted into shadow to pop up right in front of him twirling my cane until I was resting on my left arm.

"So its a deal then?" I reached out with my right hand for the shake, my fingers glowing an eerie green light.

"Deal." He clasped my hand into his, the green light exploded from our intertwined hands as my form morphed into half monster briefly. My antlers becoming larger, the green stitches and symbols glowed on my body menacingly, cracks formed all over the room and walls alerting the rest of the residents of the deal.

Charlie, Vaggie, Angel and Husker rushed into the room mere moments after as if they could stop it somehow but the deal was already struck. You followed closely behind Angel, but unlike the surprise and worry on their face you looked kind of bored, the little eyebrow twitch you gave me like you were mildly impressed made me chuckle out loud. It was easy to forget with centuries in hell under your belt barely any deal surprised you anymore, though I'm sure if you knew the details of this one you would have a different reaction. You of course had no idea what I just asked Lucifer for, and I was intending it as a surprise.

"No, dad, what... why?" Charlie pleaded with Lucifer as he walked towards her, out of my office.

"You don't owe him any favors anymore." He stated.

"She does until you fulfill your end of the bargain." I corrected with a sly smile.

"It will be done." He snapped back at me before walking out. Charlie running after him.

Well I was too jumpy of a mood for paperwork now so I gave up on the idea, it will have to wait until later. Husker and Angel followed Charlie out without saying a word, though Husker gave me an uncertain look like he was about to say something then thought better of it. That left just you leaning against the door frame with your arms folded watching them go. A few moments later you pushed yourself off and made your way to me, silently wrapping your arms around my waist and nuzzling into it, your ears and tail twitching adorably.

"Not going to ask what the deal was about?" I inquired putting one hand on your shoulder and the other on your head.

You looked up at me putting your chin on my chest with a little shoulder shrug "Mhh. If its something I should know about I trust you would tell me. Honestly I'm just kind of impressed, I haven't known Lucifer forced into very many deals, especially not with sinners."

"Why thank you my sweet, for both the trust and the compliments." I captured your lips in a brief but full kiss, a bit giddy at my own luck. But then again, it kind of wasn't all luck. After all I set the conditions in place with the favor I got from Charlie months ago. So yes, I got lucky Lucifer became angry enough and desperate enough to agree to the deal, but I was the one who made a situation that made them this angry, and got such a good deal out of it too.
