*** Your POV ***
You had no idea of the commotion your little date with Alastor caused, so everyone looking at you with a weird mixture of suspicion and pity the for the next few days, was strange to you. You decided to pay it mostly no mind.
This morning though, you could attribute the sideways glances to the fact that Alastor had personally plated you a serving of pancakes and sat himself down next to you. He even pulled your seat out for you and pushed it in when you sat, old school courting style. Its not that you haven't had this kind of treatment before, the royals could at least fake some manners at their fancy parties, but Alastor was clearly doing it because he wanted to, not some sort of obsession with image like they did.
It was starting to become obvious to you that despite his overly stand-of-ish persona as the Radio Demon, the Alastor behind that was actually enjoyed taking care of someone. Clearly evident by the happy twitches in his ears every time one of his overly chivalrous gestures brought a smile to your face. He tried to keep those little movements of his ears down, but there is only so much one can do to suppress it and it was not enough to escape your eyes even if the rest of the hotel staff missed them entirely.
"How did you sleep?" Alastor asked taking a small bite of his pancakes, though he didn't put any syrop on them.
"Got a couple of hours in after we came back, mostly just stayed up reading though." You admitted.
"Do you ever get a full nights sleep?" He briefly paused his cutting waiting for your response, his radio voice sizzling with an edge of concern.
"Not really, no" You shrugged, "I get a few hours here and there I guess."
"Thats not good you know" Although he continued eating, there was definitely a frustration in him about your response. Why was he being so uppity all of a sudden? Its not like he didn't know before.
"Not like I'll die." Again you dismissed it, there wasn't really much to do about it. Your human and bat counterparts fought themselves constantly when it came to sleep. And you couldn't use anything to make yourself sleep like pills because anything besides blood got filtered out of your system immediately. It kind of led you to be in a perpetual state of mild tiredness, but after a couple of centuries you learned to live with it.
Before Alastor could protest some more Lucifer walked into the room, looking concerned.
"Dad?" Charlie ran over to to him and there was some sort of short half whisper half glance fueled conversation before Lucifer suddenly exclaimed.
"I will deal with both of those things later! This is more pressing!"
"Alright, fine..." Charlie gave a look of uncertainty, like she didn't trust him actually dealing with whatever it was he was supposed to deal with later. Probably because neither of them were unfamiliar with Lucifer's ability to be an airhead.
"Whatever may be the trouble dear?" Alastor interjected, putting utensils down besides his unfinished plate.
"We got news from heaven." Lucifer stated. That got everyones attention and now the whole staff stopped mid chew to listen.
"I had a meeting with the Seraphim's yesterday. Sir Pentious got redeemed. And is in heaven now."
"WHAT!?" Charlie's earlier frustration was gone, "OH MY GOOOSSHHH THATS AMAZING!!" and now she was back bouncing around the place.
"Thats means we can actually say the hotel works! We can advertise that with the Vs! And -" She briefly interrupted by a wave of shrill static from Alastor, "and Alastor ofcourse!" The princess quickly self corrected.
