*** Your POV ***

Alastor lead both you and Rosie to the kitchen, where he made some tea and coffee before sitting down at the small table of the cozy little breakfast nook. Rosie sat across from the two of you. While you had tried to take up your own chair, Alastor took you by the waist and pulled you onto his lap hugging you tightly. Only taking a hand off you to pick up his coffee once in a while. Rosie was entirely unbothered by the display, if anything she was incredibly amused.

She watched with a sly smile as Alastor would put his coffee down, then coil his arms back around you and push his cheek into your shoulder as he spoke. Alastor was just enjoying being able to do this without reservations. It's not that you two have been subtle in the hotel, but you also never explicitly acted together in the group. Any forms affection were short and subtle, Alastor brushing hair out of your face, or pulling you in before melting into shadows type thing. This was was a very unambiguous display which for him was cathartic, and it was visible on his face, making Rosie giddy from happiness.

That is, until Alastor began regaling the story of how you two met and got to the part where he was badly injured and never told anyone.

"Alastor! I am downright insulted!" She proclaimed, "Darling, you are going to have your work cut out with this one I hope you know that." Rosie pointed at you with one finger, still holding her tea cup delicately.

"I figured that much out pretty quickly." You laughed recalling the day you barged into Alastors room. That kind of started it all. You did tell Rosie that you got your powers from doing healing services for people in payment for blood, but you didn't go into details of how it all worked.

Alastor caught up Rosie on everything else that happened at the hotel, including the V's coming and going. You noted by the way Alastor skirted around Vox and Rosie's lack of reaction to it that he most likely did not tell her about the drink incident. Eventually he got to the trip to heaven, where he omitted his little breakdown though he did tell her about people in heaven loosing memories of others. Finishing at last with the deal he managed to get out of Lucifer and getting your soul. "And now we are here." He finished, giving you a squeeze.

"Well geez Alastor, dump a whole load of news at me at once why don't you!" Rosie waved hand in mock indignancy. "Does princess have a plan on how to deal with the whole memories issue?"

"She doesn't know." Alastor admitted, "Pretty sure it would almost shut down the hotel for good."

"Oh my. Quite a mess." Rosie put her tea cup down looking a little pensive.

"Indeed! But nothing I can't handle!" Alastor said playfully, he really did sound quite confident.

"I'm sure Alastor, but be careful. You aren't the only one whose going to be paying for any slip ups any longer." The cannibal overlord looked very seriously into Alastor's eyes, giving you a pointed glance.

"I know." He responded solemnly, tugging you close into him with a big sigh.

"Oh now now, no need for the doom and gloom, I didn't mean to sour the mood!" She waved her hand. "I am glad you found someone, you seem happier than I've seen you in decades, if ever!"

"I am!" Alastor popped up, his ears pointing forwards as he gave you a kiss on the temple making you giggle.

"Well Y/n you have my full support for whatever you want to do. You are welcome at my parlor anytime. And I'll put in a good word for you around here."

"Thank you Rosie, that means a lot." You responded truthfully, still trying to keep the giggle down from Alastor's ear floof tickling your face as he gave you quick pecks on the jaw and neck. The man was clearly in some lovey-dovey soup of emotions right now, some mix of possessive, elated, aroused, and sentimental. You just let him have it while doing your best to answer Rosie. "I'll be honest though its been so long since I could think of what I wanted to do I don't have any ideas."

"Well what did you do before you got into the mess?" Rosie enquired, her amused grin returning at Alastor's antics.

"Well before I would travel and sing with Lillith. But I am not sure I want all that, it was fun but hectic." You shook you head. It genuinely was weird to think about the future like this. You knew you didn't want to stay at the hotel forever, but you wanted to do something for yourself.

"Didn't you say you got your powers from being a healer? Why not open your own apothecary here in cannibal town. Your regular form of payment would fit right in here."

There was a long silence as you processed the idea. As much as Alastor clearly would take care of you for the rest of eternity if you let him, you didn't want to be a burden. Plus having some sort of business would allow you to spoil him once in a while. You had a whole list of presents you've been saving up your hotel salary for.

And the idea of you own apothecary sounded... nice. You would be able set it up in the same way you did your place back in life, continue the traditions you cultivated then. And it was a way to make something of your own here. You could have tables of herbs and incense. Have runes on the walls and altars to your gods. Private rooms for treatments, and rows and rows of glass jars for blood in the back. As the mental picture started to build in your head you found tears coming out of your eyes and your body curling together.

"Oh darling, you would like that?" Alastor immediately recognized these tears as one of you being overwhelmed but also extremely excited at the prospect. You nodded through the tears, wiping your eyes with the back of your hands. You felt like a little a child again when you were first told you were allowed to take over the practice from your mentor. It was one of the happiest days of your life at the time as it was such a big honor, you worked so hard studying for it.

"You can do that, you can absolutely do that."

Alastor brushed your face with his fingers pulling you in into his chest. Rosie giggled a little at the sweet display. He was surprised by your reaction, but it warmed his heart as well. He didn't really give it much thought either. Until a few couple days ago he almost didn't dare to to think of the future, too afraid of getting his own hopes up. But he especially didn't consider the effect having so much freedom opened up to you all at once would be like. He knew you would likely venture and want to do things for yourself, its why he has been careful to not smother you despite his every nerve ending wanting to keep you close to him. He kept soothing you until your breathing evened out a bit, brushing your head and rubbing your back.

"Sorry...." you cried weakly, "I'm a mess."

"Oh no dear, I'm just enjoying the view of this side of Alastor. Never knew he could be so doting." Rosie shook her head.

"To be fair," Alastor chuckled, "I didn't know either. Y/n brings it out of me."

Rosie laughed heartily. For a little while you discussed the idea of your own shop. Rosie said she will take a look to see if she can find a space you can set up in. She ended up giving you her number - surprising both you and Alastor with actually having a phone.

"What? Its useful!" She exclaimed, "This way I can keep all of my meat supplier contacts in one place!"

Eventually she decided to leave you two to your own devices. You kind of felt bad as you thought it was perhaps she felt like a third wheel. Alastor seemed to be trying to get his entire public display of affection quota out all at once. Before she left she gave you a big hug and kiss on the cheek. You let Alastor walk her out hearing them briefly talk on her way out. She was telling him to keep you safe, including threatening to eat his entrails if he fucked up, and he was vowing on all things possible to do so. Also telling him not to be a complete stranger again. You sat down on the breakfast nook table, waiting for him to comeback.

You heard the door close and Alastor take a big sigh before coming back to you. He had the most love struck look on his face as he scooped you into his arms and spun you around the room, smiling into the kiss.

"Thank you, Alastor." You said as Alastor put you down.

"Oh hush." He said leaning back onto the table, putting his head on yours. He knew what you meant, but to him he was only doing what was natural.
