"Why don't you, Harry, Jove, and Hermione go and get us some water, then," Mr. Weasley suggested, handing a kettle and a few saucepans to Ron. "The rest of us will get some wood for the fire."
"But we've got an oven," Ron complained, holding up a saucepan. "Why can't we just—"
"Ron, anti-Muggle security!" Mr. Weasley's face lit up with excitement. "When real Muggles camp, they cook on fires outdoors. I've seen them at it!"
Jupiter arched a brow as Ron unceremoniously dumped a large saucepan into her arms. "Do Muggles actually cook on fires outside?"
"Yeah," Harry answered, while Hermione nodded with an amused smile.
"That feels... wrong," Ron muttered with a shiver, but he trudged on, lugging the kettle as they set off through the campsite.
The early morning sun was just beginning to rise, burning off the last traces of mist and illuminating the vast sprawl of tents. It was a sea of canvas in every direction, alive with the sounds of wizards and witches stirring, and with little magical touches appearing the further they walked. Eager to soak in every detail, they moved slowly, taking in the bustling makeshift city.
"Er... is it my eyes, or has everything gone green?" Ron asked, squinting at the sight up ahead.
It wasn't just his eyes. They were walking into a section of the campsite swathed in shamrocks—thick patches of clover blanketed the tents, turning the area into a peculiar landscape of rounded, verdant hillocks. Curious faces peered out from flaps, and cheerful laughter echoed around them.
"Harry! Jove! Ron! Hermione!"
They turned to see Seamus Finnigan grinning widely, seated outside his shamrock-covered tent. Beside him was a sandy-haired woman, likely his mother, and standing nearby was Dean Thomas, Seamus's best friend and their fellow Gryffindor.
"Like the decorations?" Seamus grinned proudly. "The Ministry's not too happy."
"Ah, why shouldn't we show our colors?" Mrs. Finnigan scoffed with a thick Irish accent. "You should see what the Bulgarians have got dangling all over their tents! You'll be supporting Ireland, of course?" She eyed them shrewdly, a glint of warning in her gaze.
After assuring her that they were indeed supporting Ireland, the group continued, and Ron muttered, "Like we'd say anything else, surrounded by that lot."
"I wonder what the Bulgarians have got dangling all over their tents?" Hermione said with a touch of wonder, her eyes roving over the sea of tents, looking for signs of the rival team.
