"Be the reason someone feels loved."

With so much to worry about and so much to do: startling amounts of homework that frequently kept the fifth years working until past midnight, secret D.A. meetings, and extra Quidditch practices- January seemed to be passing alarmingly fast.

Before Jupiter knew it, February had arrived, bringing with it wetter and warmer weather and the prospect of the second Hogsmeade visit of the year.

On the morning of the fourteenth, she and Hermione arrived at breakfast just in time for the arrival of the post owls. Hermione immediately began to tug at a letter from the beak of an unfamiliar brown owl as they sat down at the Gryffindor Table next to Harry and Ron.

Jupiter tried not to react as Harry's hand instantly found her thigh.

"And about time! If it hadn't come today..." Hermione said eagerly, tearing open the envelope and pulling out a small piece of parchment. Her eyes sped from left to right as she read through the message and a grimly pleased expression spread across her face.

"Listen, Harry," she said, looking up at him.
"This is really important... Do you think you could meet me in the Three Broomsticks around midday? Jupiter, you should come too."

"Er- yeah, probably," Harry shrugged, taking a bite of his porridge with his free hand. "What're we doing today, anyways?"

Jupiter felt her face go pink. "Well, Angelina scheduled a Quidditch practice..."

Harry groaned, dropping his fork back into the bowl. "For how long?"

Jupiter found Ron's eyes, and he was nodding silently, looking extremely upset about the added practice. He obviously didn't have any plans, he just didn't want to go to practice. "All day."

Harry's groan grew louder as he slumped in his seat, clearly displeased. His grip on her thigh tightened. "All day? On Valentine's Day?"

Jupiter rolled her eyes and nudged him in the side. "You're the one who made me do this," she scoffed. "You've got no right to be upset."

"I'm really regretting it now. I guess I'll just go watch again," Harry huffed, his chin rested on his free hand on the table. "Why do I need to meet you anyways, Hermione?"

"I haven't got time to tell you now, I've got to answer this quickly —"

And she hurried out of the Great Hall, the letter clutched in one hand and a piece of uneaten toast in the other.

"Blimey, I hate when she does that," Ron muttered, watching Hermione go with an unusual look in his eyes.

"Why?" Jupiter asked, tilting her head slightly. "Were you wishing you could spend Valentines with her?"
