"How lucky I am to have something that makes saying 'goodbye' so hard."

Kreacher, it transpired, had been lurking in the attic. Sirius said he had found him up there, covered in dust, no doubt looking for more relics of the Black family to hide in his cupboard.
Though Sirius seemed satisfied with this story, it made Jupiter extremely uneasy. Kreacher seemed to be in a better mood on his reappearance, his bitter muttering had subsided somewhat, and he submitted to orders more docilely than usual, though once or twice Jupiter and Harry caught the house-elf staring avidly at them, always looking quickly away when he saw that they had noticed.
Jupiter did not mention his vague suspicions to Sirius, whose cheerfulness was evaporating fast now that Christmas was over. As the date of their departure back to Hogwarts drew nearer, he became more and more prone to what Mrs. Weasley called "fits of the sullens," in which he would become taciturn and grumpy, often withdrawing to Buckbeak's room at the top of the house for hours at a time.
His gloom seeped through the house, oozing under doorways like some noxious gas, so that all of them became infected by it.
Jupiter felt incredibly guilty about leaving Sirius and Remus alone again. In fact, for the first time in his life, she was not looking forward to returning to Hogwarts.
Going back to school would mean placing herself once again under the tyranny of Dolores Umbridge, who had no doubt managed to force through another dozen decrees in their absence.
Then, she had stupidly agreed to play Quidditch for Harry (who had already owled Angelina and told her that he found a beater.) Over the last few days of the holiday, Harry had dragged Jupiter back to the deserted field in the middle of the woods to teach her how to fly. She decided that she preferred him as a teacher whenever he wasn't focused on her. She had never been corrected so many times in her life, and quite frankly, it was pissing her off. Jupiter had never been bad at anything until now.
And, on top of everything else, Jupiter could barely stand to be in the kitchen. The incriminating feeling in her stomach stuck out more prominently than ever when she was anywhere near Kreacher's cupboard. All she wanted to do was get away from it, and it freaked her out that she didn't know why.
It seemed that Harry agreed with her disappointment of returning to Hogwarts, because anytime someone mentioned going back, his mood turned very sour and he got the urge to go visit Sirius.
"Harry dear," Mrs. Weasley said, poking her head into Harry's and Ron's bedroom, where the pair of them were playing wizard chess watched by Jupiter, Hermione, Ginny, and Crookshanks, "could you come down to the kitchen? Professor Snape would like a word with you."
