"Don't be such a killjoy, Harry," Jupiter scoffed, sending her Deerhound patronus flying at Harry, who was walking around the Room of Requirement during their latest D.A. meeting. He was in the process of reminding them that producing a fully-formed Patronus when they were not under threat was very different to producing it when confronted by something like a dementor.
Harry ducked as the silvery Deerhound bounded towards him, feeling the familiar warmth that came with the sight of her patronus. He couldn't help but smirk, even though he was trying to remain serious. "I'm just saying, Jupiter," he said, as the glowing creature dissolved into mist, "it's a whole other challenge when you've actually got a Dementor breathing down your neck."
"Well, we haven't got one, have we?" Ron said, watching his silver terrier run circles around his head, then chase after Hermione's otter. "Can't say I'm disappointed..."
"I suppose we could try and find a boggart," Hermione suggested, dodging out of the way of Ginny's large, misty horse.
"Reckon where Professor Lupin put his..." Ginny said, her eyes lightning up as she followed her horse around the room as it collided with the other Patronus', such as Naomi's lynx and Luna's small hare.
"But that would be really scary!" Lavender huffed, who was shooting puffs of silver vapor out of the end of her wand. "And I still — can't — do it!" she added angrily.
Neville was having trouble too. His face was screwed up in concentration, but only feeble wisps of silver smoke issued from his wand tip. "You've got to think of something happy," Harry reminded him.
"I'm trying," Neville groaned miserably, who was trying so hard his round face was actually shining with sweat.
"Harry, I think I'm doing it!" Seamus yelled, who had been brought along to his first ever D.A. meeting by Dean. "Look — ah — it's gone. . . . But it was definitely something hairy, Harry!"
"They are sort of nice, aren't they?" Luna said dreamily, looking around the room fondly.
Suddenly, Jupiter felt a wrench in her stomach. "Stop," Jupiter said, her patronus fading instantly. "Harry, we need to stop."
"What?" He asked, cocking his head to the side. "What're you talking about?"
The door of the Room of Requirement opened and then closed again; Jupiter looked around to see who had entered, but there did not seem to be anybody there. It was a few moments before he realized that the people close to the door had fallen silent. She looked over at Harry, and saw, to her very great astonishment, Dobby the house-elf peering up at Harry from beneath his usual eight hats.
