It didn't take long to find Hitoshi fighting against Overhaul, the purple haired teen dodging stone spikes like a pro. Aizawa's eyes flared red, ceasing the spikes.
"Thanks, old man," Hitoshi panted. "Not let that kid go!"
"This child is very important to my research," Overhaul said calmly, his single bare hand flitting through the air. "I'm surprised my mouse let you both get past. How did you subdue him?"
Aizawa saw the controller in question as Overhaul pressed it again. Well trained ears picked up the distant, unintelligible shouts from where they'd come from. With the ease of decades of practice, a single blade left Aizawa's hand and knocked the controller from Overhaul's. Aizawa felt a smirk hit his lips as the child, despite being obviously terrified, jerked and grabbed the controller, keeping it from Overhaul.
"Eri, be a good girl and give that back to me," Overhaul ordered, ignoring the other two men. He was confident that they couldn't do much past the sea of spikes he'd created.
"No! You hurt big brother with it," Eri, the child, sobbed, clutching the controller tighter. "I don't want him to hurt anymore!"
Overhaul huffed. "Eri, you are being a little brat right now. Give it or Mouse will suffer the punishment you hate worse."
Eri hesitated and Hitoshi saw his chance. He twisted a knob on his mask, power tingling at the tip of his tongue.
"Eri," he called, the voice echoing in the hall sounding identicial to the broken voice he'd heard outside the alleyway weeks ago.
"Mouse?" Overhaul snarled, turning. Or at least he started to.
Hitoshi's power latched on immediately and the teen smirked. "Gotcha," Izuku's voice said for him.
Aizawa smiled, ceasing his own quirk. "Good job, kiddo."
Hitoshi ignored the comment, his full focus on keeping control over the villain. "Remove the spikes."
Overhaul obeyed, the spikes disappearing back into the ground. Aizawa walked over, crouching by Eri.
"Hey there, little one," Aizawa said softly. "I'm Izuku's dad. Are you hurt?"
Eri blinked, studying him. "You're...Dadzawa," she whispered.
Aizawa blinked. "Huh?"
Eri smiled and rushed to cling to him. "That's what big brother called you when Overhaul started trying to erase names from his mind. You're Dadzawa and there's Papamic and Toshi and Kacchan and Dabi. That's his family. He used to tell me all about you guys."
Aizawa felt his chest tighten. "Sweetheart...you're safe now. Want to come with me back to big brother?"
Eri nodded, scrambling into his arms. Aizawa cradled her, gently taking the controller from her hands and shoving it deep in a pocket. He turned back to Hitoshi.
"Don't worry, dad," Hitoshi said, eyes almost glowing at the amount of force he was pushing into his quirk. "I've been pushing orders deep into his mind. I might not be able to hold him the whole way, but I sure as hell have made sure he will be clueless when he comes out of it."
"We need information-" Aizawa started.
"Clueless on how to use his quirk until I tell him he remembers," Hitoshi groaned. "Do you really underestimate me that much...Dadzawa?"
Aizawa just groaned and shook his head. "Put the quirk cuffs on him anyway, Toshi."
The purple haired teen smirked and did as ordered, securing the cuffs behind Overhaul's back before ordering him to walk. They walked the first few steps in silence before a tiny voice broke the quiet.
