Monday morning dawned on a tired but more relaxed family. Neither Aizawa or Hizashi could get Monday off and all three teens had to go back to school, so Aizawa made the executive decision to take Eri to school with them, at least until he figured out care for Eri during the day.

So when Class 1A arrived to class, they found the trio of teens at their desks, with Eri sitting Izuku's lap coloring in a coloring book with the green haired teen. Hitoshi was napping at his desk, and Katsuki was glaring at the door in warning. Kirishima was the one to notice and glanced at Izuku and Eri - both who tensed at the crowd in the doorway.

The red head turned. "Hey, let's make sure we give them some space, okay guys?" He gave a bright, toothy grin. "It's their first day back after all."

The kids nodded, and Aizawa would later tell the other teachers that he had never seen them enter the classroom as quietly as they did that day. Hitoshi lifted his head from his desk behind Izuku and watched the students settling into their seats near them. Izuku and Eri seemed to shrink into the desk, tense and nervous.

Sero quietly switched seats with Kirishima, and the class relaxed when they saw Izuku and Eri relax a little bit at the desk. Class began easily enough, and Aizawa gave the class some free time. He warned them sternly to overwhelm their classmates.

Katsuki turned so he was sideways in his chair, giving Izuku his hand to hold or just have contact with. Eri glanced at the classroom full of curious teens watching them.

"Are they nice?" She whispered.

Hitoshi smiled. "They're a bit overwhelming, but yeah, these are good people."

Mina broke the silence first. "Hi. I'm Mina Ashido. It's nice to get to meet you. "

"And I'm Ochako Uraraka. What's your name?" The brunette added.

"Eri," the child answered.

"So cute! And Midoriya, it is so awesome to have you back," Uraraka said with a giddy grin. "Any new pranks planned?"

Izuku's jaw tightened as he remained focused on the coloring page in front of him. Katsuki huffed.

"Leave the nerd alone, ya damn extras," the blond growled. "He don't feel like talkin'."

The group looked unnerved except for Kirishima, who seemed to be trying to figure out how to explain his friend's condition.

"Big brother doesn't have the same words we do," Eri provided simply. "The nice doctor lady here said his head was hurt really bad."

Izuku's hand stopped, and he seemed to be awaiting their reactions.

"Aw, don't worry about it, Midobro," Sero laughed.  "Denks talks enough for everyone. "

"Hey!" The blond screeched.  "I do not!"

"He's not wrong, Dunce Face," Katsuki smirked.   "You do talk more that Izu did."

At the desk, Eri made a sound of distress, pulling her brothers' attention to her.   Izuku had tears rolling down his cheeks.

Katsuki turned more to him, whistling softly.   Izuku gave a weak whistle back, and more tears started flowing.

The blond smirked as his ears twitched.  "Calm down, kiddo.  These are happy tears.   He was worried they were going to treat him differently. "

"Never, Midoriya!   That would be un-hero like."  Iida cried from the back of the group.

Green eyes glossy with tears looking up, and a weak smile was on his face.

"Friends."

That one word broke the tension, and the class had to hold each other back.   Aizawa watched from his sleeping bag as the class settled into familiar chaos.   Some of the girls bonded with Eri over doing her hair while Izuku, Hitoshi, and Katsuki taught the boys some of their basic style of whistle communication.
