Aizawa stared out the window of the conference room as rain pounded against the glass. A photo album lay open in front of him as he was lost in thought. So much had happened over the last few months...so many memories formed and cherished just for it to end up like this...
"Shou?" Hizashi's voice was soft from the doorway.
Aizawa glanced over his shoulder at his husband. "Hey."
"What are you doing in here, babe?" Hizashi asked as he walked over. He froze when he saw the photo album. "Oh, Shou..."
Aizawa shook his head, roughly wiping at the wetness on his face. "Don't. It was the only way I could keep my sanity."
Hizashi pulled a chair close and sat down beside him. "My love, my heart, my soul," the blond whispered. "There is nothing wrong with the pain we feel. Kirishima and Hitoshi haven't let go of each other since we got back, which pissed the old woman off as it made it harder to treat them. Hawks hasn't left Dabi's side since the surgery. Nemuri finally got Eri to rest, but our baby has a fever and keeps having nightmares."
Aizawa flinched, pressing the heel of his hand into one eye - his only good eye.
"Stop," Hizashi ordered in a stern whisper. He pulled the hand away from his husband's face and made him look at him. He knew he was just as battered and bruised and the white around his throat was a stark reminder of everything that had happened. "They're alive. They are all alive and we need to cling to that."
"But...everything that's happened..." Aizawa said, looking towards the photo album. His mind flooded with the snapshots of memories.

"Merry Christmas!" Mina shouted as Aizawa opened the door for his children.
"What the hell is this?" Katsuki spat, ears twitching.
Eri, riding atop his shoulders, gasped. "Daddy told me about this! This is a holiday! The one with the...bunny?"
Izuku smiled up at his sister when she looked at him. "Big man in red suit," he corrected gently. He looked to the class. "Why?"
"Well, Toshi let it slip that you guys didn't get to celebrate a lot, so we're having make-up holidays!" Kirishima grinned as he hurried over to pop a Santa hat on Izuku's head.
"We even got gifts!" Denki cheered. "Just for you guys!"
"You damn extras," Katsuki sighed. "We had Christmas at the bar."
"Seriously, dude?" Kirishima asked. "Cause based on what we got outta Dabi, you didn't."
Izuku smiled. "Onii-chan gave us Christmas and birthdays."
Some of the students looked defeated, the cheer fading.
"The nerd's not done, idiots," Katsuki grunted and felt all eyes back on them.
Izuku smiled warmly. "Eri-chan has not."
"Eri! Merry Christmas!" Mina cheered.
Aizawa sighed as he let his children get swept into the random celebration in the dorms.

"It's cold," Katsuki scolded at the front door, forcing a scarf around Izuku's neck. His green-eyed boyfriend glared at him.
"I'm hot," Izuku argued.
"Damn right you are," Katsuki smirked. "But if your dumb ass won't wear a coat, you're gonna wear a scarf."
