It took several reassurances from Aizawa, and a few other pros Katsuki was willing to listen to, that the doctors and nurses in front of him were trustworthy. It was with great hesitation the blond finally handed Eri over and let them walk away with Izuku.

Aizawa wrapped a warm arm around him, holding him tight. "He's safe," the underground hero whispered into his hair as he held his son. "Izuku is safe. Eri is safe. You're safe. And I am not going to let that monster ever touch you again. I'll kill him before he does."

"Careful," Katsuki muttered, ears lowered in defeat and sadness. "You're sounding like a real villain there."

"For my kids? I'd be more villainous than All for One," Aizawa confided. He didn't pull away or look away when startled red eyes met his. "I mean it kid. It was my own warped sense of right and wrong that put you two in danger the first time. It's the hero system that I blame for what happened to you as children. And I'll be damned if the title of hero is more important than you."

Katsuki studied the man as tears welled up in his eyes. "You're...the first person...in years...to...to be so honest," he grunted out.

Fatgum set his own hand on Katsuki's shoulder. "Kid, you've won over a lot of people. Me included. The heroes from your childhood failed you and I am also personally apologizing for their failure. The pain you've felt your entire life is over. I can't promise there won't be other pain...but that pain is done. If Eraser here can't do it, I'll happily show them what the fat hero can do."

"And if they can't....well people have always told me my quirk is more suited to the villain lifestyle," Hitoshi added, a dark smirk on his face. "The things I've learned my quirk can do is well worth it if it means my brothers are safe. I'm the only one who can fuck with you two."

Katsuki's lips quivered as more tears welled up. A handful of seconds later and Aizawa was holding him as he cried softly, cursing loudly about how he wasn't a crybaby. The man just held him as the reality of his safety set in. When the pair sank to the floor, Hitoshi joined them, arm tossed across Katsuki's shoulders as he continued to reassure the blond and refer to him as his sibling.

Fatgum appointed himself guard and stood to keep other people away and let the small family have their moment. The tension and stakes had been so high for months that they deserved a moment. When he heard the blond calming down, he bid farewell and went to get his own treatment and check on his work study student.

Aizawa got his little family into one of the quiet rooms and Katsuki actually relaxed enough to be somewhere in between sleep and wakefulness. Hitoshi sat with his brother's head in his lap, casually scrolling through memes Denki had sent him. Aizawa sipped at the horrible hospital coffee as he listened to Katsuki quietly teasing Hitoshi about liking Denki.

"Nah, I'm not really big on blonds," Hitoshi countered.

"Hn? I know it ain't Izu...so who..." Katsuki went quiet. "No fuckin' way!"

"Bro, shut up," Hitoshi warned.

"Shitty hair? You're seriously crushing on the golden retriever of the class?" Katsuki cackled.

"I'm warning you. I will brainwash your ass!" Hitoshi hissed, eyes darting to Aizawa.

"He's oblivious, you dummy," Katsuki snickered as he sat up, feeling a bit better. "You'll have to literally spell it out for him...or let me tell him."

"You will not say a damn word or I'll spill all about the times you cried to Izuku," Hitoshi threatened.

Katsuki snickered, but the door opened before he could retort. All eyes turned to the doorway as Recovery Girl stood there, a smile on her face.
