In PJO not only did he give the genius idea of bathing in the River Styx, but he stepped in, to save the day during the battle of Manhattan, when the demigods were getting pulverized. HOO, he willingly went through Tartarus and offered to bring the Athena Parthos back. In TOA, he got the trogs to help, helped in the battle, and saved Apollo just before Nero was about to kill him.
