"Our next match is in 22 days against Manshine City," Loki announced to us as we sat in the media room as a team after a morning full of training. I was leaning back in my chair, facing our coach as his eyes passed around each of us. "We are out of rotation for the next league match up. Because Manshine City is our next adversary, I would like us all to watch their match against Bastard München live when it takes place. After that, we will review the match between FC Barcha and the Ubers." He gave a smile. "Any questions?""Yes, I have one," I spoke up, crossing my arms and sitting up in my chair. "If we are out of rotation this next week, what will we be doing in the meantime?"
"Shh..." Charles nudged me on the back from where he sat in the row behind me. "You're going to get us extra work."
I turned in my seat to look at him. "It was just a question..."
"She was always such a teacher's pet." Shido rolled his eyes, which made me scoff in objection.
"Good question, Keiko. We will be working on new strategies and plays this next week until we are able to see how Manshine City performs. Then we can use the advantage we have to prepare for our next match." Loki nodded at me. "Right now, I would like us to watch the other match that took place when we played yesterday, the match between FC Barcha and Bastard München."
Charles let out a bored sigh at this news and leaned on his palm as Loki turned to start the match recording and dim the lights.
"Alright!" Shido grinned from where he was sitting next to me, scooting a bit closer to my side and raising an eyebrow at me. "Mood lighting..."
I smacked his arm in annoyance and moved my chair a bit away from him, which happened to be closer to Rin. Our arms were now brushing and I smiled to myself lightly, looking up at the screen that was beginning the start of the match up. Shido frowned at me before looking up slightly at where Rin was sitting on my other side, narrowing his eyes.
"Wow," I said with a grin, watching Bachira dribble down field with the ball with a newfound synergy. "Sunshine got a huge glow up!"
"He's even more dodgy than before, it seems," Karasu said from Shido's other side with a small sigh. "That's great."
We all watched as Bachira almost single handedly made it through the entire German team before meeting an airborne pass and sinking it into the net.
"Damn!" I grinned and sat up straight. "Look at that! He's so much better now!"
"Maybe... Though your hunk head ginger friend doesn't seem to have gotten any better despite crawling his way back up from the bottom," Shido said lowly as he watched the screen with a blank expression.
"Kunigami looks a little more pressed than I remember him being," I admitted with a light frown as I eyed the more muscular and chilling figure of the orange haired male on screen. "He doesn't seem like the same person."
