SEVEN DAYS BEFORE ROUND 4 OF THE NEO EGOLIST LEAGUE:
FC BARCHA VS PARIS X-GEN
KAISER
"Ness?"
The purple haired midfielder looked over at the German striker who leaning back in his chair with a tablet in hand. "What is it, Kaiser?
"What do you think it is - about Keiko Iteya - that makes her so popular?" Kaiser asked the question, scrolling through images on the tablet that portrayed the girl he was asking about.
Ness blinked and then tilted his head. "She's talented, I guess. And pretty." He let out a small sigh. "She's not very polite to you though."
"Perhaps she's intimidated by me," Kaiser mused and finally looked up at his loyal companion. "It would be only be natural. I'm probably the most talented player she's ever met."
"Of course!" Ness nodded eagerly.
"But that still doesn't explain why she's so desirable. Sure, she's beautiful... but there's many beautiful women out in the world. Some are prettier than her. And sure, she's talented, but Keiko could not compete on my level." Kaiser made a face. "I can't put my finger on it. Every guy has their eyes on her, including little Yoichi."
The midfielder at his side blinked before lightly pointing out, "Don't you too? Have your eyes on her, I mean?"
"It's not in the same way." Kaiser dismissed with a wave of his hand. "How I feel about Keiko Iteya is how I feel about soccer. It's a battle that I need to conquer and win. I want her to respect me. I want every person in this building to revere me in their heads the same way they think about that girl. They all need to understand just who I am and what I'm capable of." He let out an annoyed breath. "Those Blue Lock amateurs are already... What is that saying.... stirring the pot? Professionally speaking. Especially Yoichi Isagi. He's getting out of hand."
Ness stayed silent for a moment before murmuring, "What do you plan to do about it, Kaiser?"
Kaiser smirked lightly and turned to gaze at his teammate. "I'm going to do what everyone else is already doing. I'm going to stir the pot too." He stood up from his chair. "There's a special beauty to precise attacks and customized warfare."
"You think we are at war with the players of Blue Lock?" Ness asked.
The blonde nodded once. "Don't you, Ness? Think about it. They are challenging me. Threatening me. All of them. Even the girl." He held up a hand. "I don't plan on them taking away my glory. Not in this wretched place." Kaiser paused and then grinned. "That's why it's time that I remind them how powerful I am. That I show them what it means to be Michael Kaiser. To be the best in the world." He lowered his chin. "All you have to do, Ness, is follow my lead. Can you do that?"
