I felt renewed as I finished fixing my hair and added some lip gloss to my bottom lip. In the mirror was a refreshed looking Keiko wearing a dress I had especially picked for this dinner tonight. I wasn't even sure what to expect from a dinner like this because I had never been to one before. However, I did know that I was dressed for the part.
There were a few knocks on my door and I put down the lip gloss before calling out. "One second!"
Exiting the bathroom, I slipped on my heeled sandals before walking over to open it.
"Tada!" Eme exclaimed, posing in a short black dress she was wearing. She smirked at me. "Hey! Look at you, Gorgeous! You're actually tall for once too. What a sight!"
"Ha ha." I gave her a small look before grinning and saying, "You look good too. Your makeup is perfect, by the way."
"Callista helped me with it. You know how amazing she is with the eyeliner," Eme told me as I stepped over to the table to grab the small purse with my phone in it. "She actually got a tan from being outside today. This Hawaiian sun is serious."
"You talking about me?" Callista piped up. She poked her head through the door way and Ellis walked up behind her. Both of them had curled shiny hair. "Yeah! I was lucky that Ellis reminded me to put on sunscreen. Otherwise I would have burned!"
Ellis sighed out with a nod. "Yeah, sometimes I wonder what you'd do without me, Callista."
"I hope I never have to know!" Callista beamed with a wide smile and Ellis gave her a doubtful frown. "Anyway, Eme and Keiko, you two look amazing! I hope you have something as equally amazing for the actual wedding tomorrow."
"You know we do," Eme told her. "Who do you think we are?"
Callista held up a hand. "I was just making sure! Friends don't let friends settle, okay?"
We all moved out into the hallway as I locked my hotel room door and put the key in my purse, saying, "You all ready for some good food? Akira said something earlier about there being a great menu at this restaurant."
Ellis questioned. "What kind of food?"
"Probably local picks. Maybe seafood? And American food! Hopefully some tropical drinks too!" Eme smiled wide. "I could use something with pineapple or coconut!"
"Hey ladies," said a deeper voice from up ahead. We all turned and saw Chigiri, Kunigami, Nagi, and Reo approaching. The latter had been the one to call out and wave at us, wearing what looked like a very expensive suit.
"Hey guys," I said with a grin. "Look at all of you dressed up! You look great!"
"So do all of you," Chigiri answered as they came to a stop in front of us.
