"Oh, you're back," Callista said, blinking up at me as I sat down with a plate of food. "Where'd you run off to, Keiko?"

"I went outside to get some fresh air," I replied, and gave her a reassuring smile. "Then I talked a bit with an old friend."

"I was worried that I'd have to hunt you down," Eme told me with a smirk. "I thought you'd gone off to hide on some other part of the ship being all anti-social and such."

"I'd never hide." I began to eat some of my rice. "You never have to worry about me running away. I don't run from things."

"What matters is that you're back now," Ellis affirmed with a nod. "And the food is really delicious. They must have talented chefs in the kitchen."

Callista smirked widely. "I could get used to service like this. Why don't I have a nice boat and private chefs? We make a lot of money, right?"

"Not compared to the Mikage Corporation," said Ellis, shaking her head at the blonde defender. "They're a tech company with hundreds of billions in assets. They probably have ten boats like this."

"Huh?" I turned to her curiously. "Seriously? I didn't know that. How did you know?"

Ellis met my gaze and shrugged. "I looked it up. I wanted to know who's property I was on."

"Dang... Reo is a lot wealthier than I thought," I mumbled to myself, using my chopsticks to eat more rice.

Eme used her own pair of chopsticks to clumsily raise up a fried ball. "Ummm.... Keiko, what is this?"

I looked up to what she was referring to and smirked. "That's takoyaki. It's my favorite food. You should try it."

Eme stared at it hesitantly before taking a bite. She chewed for a moment before admitting, "It tastes fishy."

"Um..." I chuckled at her reaction. "Well, it's octopus."

She frowned at me. "You know I don't like octopus Keiko! Remember that time I ate the calamari at that restaurant and got super sick."

"Um, calamari is made from squid..." Ellis sighed, leaning her cheek lazily into her palm as she watched Eme frown. "It's different than octopus."

"It's close enough!" Eme began putting all of the takoyaki she had picked up from the buffet onto my plate. "Eat up if you like it so much, Keiko!"

"I'll try it!" Callista claimed and took the last takoyaki ball off of Eme's plate. She popped it into her mouth and smiled with puffed out cheeks. "I think it tastes great!"

"Yeah, yeah..." Eme puffed and rolled her eyes as the rest of us giggled.

The food was very good and there were numerous options to choose from in the buffet as we continued to eat. I had selected a little bit of everything from the spread of entrees and made light conversation with the girls as we all happily finished.
