My eyes slowly opened, the unfamiliar surroundings confusing me. A familiar clean scent wafted up my nose as I shifted to raise my head from a soft pillow. Sunlight filtering in through the blinds on the window behind me, lit up the left side of Rin's room. On the table next to my head, the manga we had been reading the night before was neatly stacked in a pile with my phone on the top. I took a breath, now noticing that a blanket was wrapped around me. I sat up, looking around. The room was empty besides me...

I must have fallen asleep in here. I cringed as I rubbed my eyes. That would not look good to Rin's parents. Oops... I got out of the bed, still wearing Rin's hoodie as I moved to the mirror. My reflection showed a still sleepy looking Keiko with bed hair. I don't have any of my things. Not even a hairbrush. Knowing I would have to go downstairs at some point, I put my hair into a bun and sighed. That would have to work.

I moved back to the bedside and grabbed my phone. It was nearly dead, probably because I fell asleep watching videos. But I guess Rin had plugged it in to charge when he woke up. I put it back down and left the room, slowly venturing down the stairs and listening to sounds coming from the kitchen area.

"Keiko-chan!" Yuto happily greeted, scaring me from where he appeared from around a corner. "Good morning."

"Good morning," I replied awkwardly.

"The power is on again," he informed me as I finished my descent. "We are making breakfast. Please, come join."

I nodded obediently, following him into the room we all ate in the night before. Rin was already sitting at the table, looking up at my entrance and then turning back to look at the rice in front of him.

"Good morning, Keiko-chan!" Umeko told me with a smile as she entered with a big plate of eggs. "I hope you slept well."

"I did," I slowly answered.

"I think it was very generous of Rin to let you use his bed while he slept on the couch," Umeko said and made a cooing noise at her son. "I'm glad he's acting like such a gentleman. We taught him well!"

Internally I laughed. Is that what he told them?

I grinned at Rin's flat expression in reaction to his mother's words and said, "Yes, it was generous of him. He insisted even though I declined several times." I gave a closed mouth smile and tilted my head, looking at Rin teasingly. "So so sweet of him!"

"Stop," muttered Rin in annoyance before nodding to the seat next to him. "Come sit down."

I obliged, laughing to myself, and carefully sat down as he directed.

"I'm afraid you missed Sae leaving," Umeko said, giving me an apologetic look. "It seems he got up before any of us and left for the airport."

"Oh..." I blinked and then murmured, "That's too bad." Rin looked over at my words and I smirked at him. "His loss because I remember that you make amazing eggs, okaa-san." Rin faintly made an expression of amusement.
